For years, we have presented our skills across the United states in the fighting game community. unfortunately, the US has not had the opportunity to see why we are the second biggest and strongest region in the FGC (South Cali 1st)..... Until now!

Its time to show the true potential of our NYC cast, its time to show the teens in community can be the toughest opponents to the top players from other regions, its time to let the world see how our top players remain to stay on their toes. Its time to Defend the North.

- Will be played on XBOX 360
- 2/3 Rounds 99 sec
- 2/3 Matches , 3/5 for all top 3 Finals.
- Winner keeps same character, Loser May pick a different character
- Winner may change Ultra but must choose before Opponent picks their Ultra.

Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3:
- Will be played on XBOX 360
- 3 out of 5 games for a match set in pools and semis
- Grand finals/losers and Winners will also consist of 3 out of 5 games.
- After a game has concluded, winner must stick with same team and order for the next game.
- Loser has option of switching team and order and also taking player side of choice.

Injustice:
- Will be played on XBOX 360
- Each match is 2/3 Games
- One Game is 2/3 rounds 90 seconds
- Winners, Losers & Grand Finals is 3/5 games

Tekken Tag Tournament 2:
- Will be played on playstation 3
- Each match is 2/3 Games
- One game is best 3/5, 80-second rounds.
- Winners, Losers & Grand Finals is the best 3/5 games.
- Random stage select will be used unless both players can agree on a stage.
- Winner must select the same characters, loser may switch characters.

The King of Fighters 13:
- Will be played on playstation 3.
- Each match is 2 out of 3, 60-second rounds.
- Winner, Losers and Grand Finals are 3 out of 5.
- Winner must keep their original characters but, has the option to switch their character order.

Capcom vs Snk 2:
- Will be played on playstation 2
- Each match is 2 out of 3, 99-second rounds.
- Winners, Losers and Grand Finals are 3 out of 5.
- Winner must keep original characters and order.

- Will be played on xbox one

I am still working on schedules so more games will be added as per your request. However, 32 pre registered players are needed to obtain an award for each game scheduled. If the quota is not met, the game will be cancelled as an official game. in which you will receive a refund.

 

NYC has one of the biggest VF communities in the Western world, it would be a shame if VF wasn't represented at NYC's first FGC major.

So I spoke to the organizer of the tourney about having VF present. He says he will make it official if 32+ pre-registered. NYG 8 had over 30 people show up so I'm sure VF'ers can make it happen!

If you like the idea please pre-register A.S.A.P. and post here that you have done so.

If you find out you can't make it later you can get a full refund no questions asked! Also the slight chance VF does not reach the quota (C'mon guys & gals ) you will be refunded your money back if you choose not to attend.

I'm guessing Shag will be in contact with Andy (tournament organizer) about how many folks from VF signed up. I've never met the guy but he sounds like a reasonable organizer and I really like how he's trying to go about things. Changing prices based on age (not making it available to them), and girls (that's interesting and might be there so to encourage them to come out?).

So far I like the business practice and really hope we can get support for it. Maybe we can get more events like this in the future that is able to cater to big games and still cater to smaller followings--like ours.

32 players is a reasonable goal and we can totally make that! Lets make it happen

I live like 20 minutes by train from here (Sunnyside). I could check with my roommate and my girlfriend to see if someone could stay at my place. We wouldn't be able to do the all-night casuals thing cause people gotta work, but hey let me know if you're down for that. Whatever gets VF at a major!

 

I just registered. Hopefully you guys can push this more on streams and VFDC as much as possible! Really would like to go to a major.

 

If I go I would have to bunk with someone this would be after the holiday season too I am hoping harpooner has that room offer going still when it gets to be about time for this event.

 

Should I get my money back now? I could use it to invest in an Xbox 360.

 

I will bring a setup maybe two to DTN for VF on Saturday.

The cost to enter the venue for VF'ers will be $20. (Spectator fee)

I'll have sign ups at 4 for a tournament if we have enough players. Tourney entry $5.
