This is on behalf of all players wishing to attend Sega Cup. If you are confirmed to travel to the event and have available means to accommodate other players, please do so!

Sega Cup is, imo, biggest event in the States for VF. The more players the better! Please network and connect with other players in your area for travel using this thread as a doorway!

 

I'm excited to come down to this. Let's show people what real ft10s look like.

 

This trip is going to be awesome.

If you're even curious enough to see what goes down, I recommend making the effort to drop by. The locals are great, and the action is just as tight.

I have every intention of making it even if I have to sell a bunch of my stuff to go. I'll take the bus, I don't even care. Sega Cup is happening for me. I will not let Sega look at this event as a bust!

...but I've never been to California before aside from airport layovers, and I would probably need some help with finding a cheap place to stay and getting around. So if any SoCal locals can help a desert rat out, I would greatly greatly appreciate it!

It was the main hotel for EVO when it was held in Pomona
It is close to ALL VF weekly events and only 5 minutes from Super Arcade. 20 minutes from Riverside, 20 Minutes from Azusa, and 35 minutes from Sherman Oaks.
Suffice to say I would recommend renting a car as well.

 

Unless some emergency happens around then... I'm going to Sega Cup!

Also... I know at least 2 others in Portland AND at least 2 others from Seattle that are planning to go. I will let them speak for themselves ^_^

NYC is planning to come to this in a big way. Get ready folks.

 

Thats cool tricky. you and your NYC friends Denkai,GT etc are some of the the best VF players in the west part of the world. If you go you'll bring hype for VF. The more skilled players at SC the better VF will be represented.

Those last few NYC streams were preparation for this man. We are training hard for that cup RIGHT NOW! We might do a team tournament if we get 10 folks again this tuesday.

 

I know he reads this forum so this is partly to show that I'm not backing down.

At Sega Cup, if KO is able to attend, I will FT10 him offline, when available outside of the tourney.

The prizes?
If he wins, I'm humbled and will have to recognize KO as superior player.

If *I* win, he must shake my hand and say 'good game'.

So here it is. This started on the NYC stream tonight, just making the FT10 official. KO vs. Hseiken for humble pie.

I'll be ready.

It's not so serious, just making it known that I'm not whistling dixie (so that KO understands, it means I'm not making a hockey team that sucks and thinks we can win just because we're canadian).
