Updated first post with the schedule for the first week of sessions.

 

Plan for Mondays (Europe) and Tuesdays (North America) for novices

 

Updated first post with January 22nd-28th schedule. Note that Monday's session for Europe is open league session while Tuesday's session for North America is invitationals.

 

Updated first post with schedule for January 29th-February 3rd. Note the usual Thursday session for Europe has been moved to Wednesday for this week.

The goal is to always run at least 3 sessions for each region, so if there is schedule conflict on a certain day, it will be made up on another day.

From now on, for record keeping, league session abbreviations you noticed above is based on the color layout I used on a regular basis for my stream

Y = Yellow (normally Monday EU)
G = Green (normally Thursday EU)
B = Blue (normally Saturday EU)
M = Magenta (normally Tuesday NA)
C = Cyan (normally Friday NA)
R = Red (normally Sunday NA)

 

The last two weeks been hectic with a broken laptop so I have not updated the above post. Updated first post with February 12th-18th schedule

February 26th-March 3rd schedule updated in first post. One more month in this first quarter and then likely a change to the schedule of league sessions starting in April.

 

Updated first post with this week's schedule (March 4th - March 10th). About 4 more weeks left in this 1st Quarter of 2024. The start of the 2nd Quarter a slightly trimmed down schedule of sessions. Feedback always appreciated if you want to have some say on things moving forward!

2nd Quarter Season (April to June)
We have already started the second quarter, reset the ladder board. The usual open league session for Europe on Thursdays and Saturdays. For North America, it will be Fridays and Sundays.

Spring Playoffs
In addition to the regular open league session for the second quarter, I will try to run playoffs for those that participated in the first quarter. Finishing in the top 25% of an open league qualifies for the playoffs, sending message to confirm participation.

• Messaging people to confirm participation
• Bracket will be made middle of next week April 8-12. Top 3 or 4 in the First Quarter ladder board have some control of their position in the bracket
  
• Once it is determined who your opponent will be, we will coordinate a time that works for both players to compete. We will normally give 1 week time to complete the match.
• Playoffs will be the entire month of April and into May to complete (depending how many people will participate).
  
• First to Two for initial rounds. 1st Place match and 3rd Place match will be First to Three. First match, stage is random. Loser gets to choose the stage for next match.

 

Update for this week schedule -

Europe - Thursday session moved to Friday, same time
North America - Sunday afternoon session moved to Saturday evening.

 

Update for June 13-16th.

Europe - no Thursday, June 13th session. Will find a makeup date in the near future. Next session is Saturday, June 15th

North America - still doing Friday night session, June 14th. Fathers Day is this Sunday. So not hosting this Sunday, June 16th. Instead hosting weekend league on Saturday evening, June 15th 8:30 PM CDT

 

Update for Jun 24-30

This is the last week of the 2nd Quarter -

EU has a Tuesday session to make-up for one of the Thursdays in which I cannot host.

The Spring Playoff (Q1) plans will be combined with the Summer Playoff (Q2) - so those finishing top 25% get an invitation to participate.

3rd Quarter Starts with the first of July.
- For Europe - I will host league weekly on Saturdays.
- For North America - I will host on Sundays. Keep Friday league session as or mix things up? Retry team events on Friday night or Tuesday night?

 

Final ladder boards for the 2nd Quarter.

Europe
kingo is at the top spot for third straight quarter. For the 3rd Quarter, Open League sessions will only be on Saturday. The end of the third Quarter will mark one year of running weekly league sessions for Europe!

North America
Setsuna finishes at the top spot for the second straight quarter. NA league session has continued on a nearly weekly basis for 30 months now! For the 3rd Quarter, Open League sessions will only be on Sundays.


Spring/Summer Playoffs Combined
The intended plan was to do playoffs after each quarter ends. That did not happened! Let's see if I can do a playoffs for the first and second quarter together.

Team League
Friday nights for North America will be a 3-month test for Team League! The current format right now is round robin team battle followed by standard team battle format. Description of format here. Will have a more detailed explanation posted in this thread by the afternoon.

Only 3 sessions remain for each region this year!

At the end of every quarter, I take some time to reflect on if and how to do things for the next quarter. With VF5US 2.0 update and R.E.V.O. for Steam coming this Winter, a bit more than usual to consider.

If you participate in the league sessions I host on a regular basis, your feedback and plans would be greatly appreciated.
