Anybody here watch Daria?

For those of u that aren't familiar with this show, it's an adult animated sitcom from the creators of Beavis and Butthead and King of the Hill. It's about a teenage girl named Daria, who has low self-esteem and usually expresses herself with humorous sarcasm. It was on MTV many years ago, then was on the N (a type of Nickelodeon channel). So did, anybody ever watch it, it's sooo funny. If anybody is interested, I had bought my copy of The complete series (8 discs) for $35 on Ebay NEW. Great bargain for 5 seasons and 2 movies all together. So if u had watched this show, let's discuss some favorite parts or whatever is u find funny about it, etc.

I haven't watched Daria since the early 90's. Is it still good?

 

yeah its still funny, u could probably find a couple of episodes on youtube, i laughed really hard at an episode where she and her family went camping, and her father says "see those berries, that's our breakfast" and Daria responds "see that skeleton, that's our future,....made u look" and her family goes insane after eating those berries. it's really funny, another one, where she's babysitting, she's reading them her own telling of the spoon and the dish that ran away with each other that only Hawaii could recognize their relationship. it's much funnier if u watch it.

 

I loved the intro to that show. Almost reminds me of the art style to Mission Hill.

 

was mission hill by Mike Judge? cause that's who created the Daria, Beavis and Butthead and King of the Hill shows which all have the same, if not, very similar art styles. I remember seeing a clip of Beavis and Butthead that featured a cameo by Daria, I think it was before she got her own show, she even made a cameo in the show, Drawn Together, (if we're gonna switch the subject to Drawn Together, I suggest making a new discussion)

 

Man I still watch Daria... Great show... I personally think it was the last of good shows on MTV... Thinking about Daria makes me go even further back to Liquid Television, but that's another topic altogether...

I have all of Daria on my x360... Yeah its that serious son!!!

 

really they have daria avaiable via xbox live, i didn't see it, glad i got the entire series on DVD along with the 2 movies all for $35 NEW on ebay. I know my older brother is gonna want to borrow them once I'm done with the DVD's.

 

Oh nah, I managed to get it on my xbox... Its not on video marketplace...

Waited FOREVER for Daria on DVD! Got it day one @Best Buy. Such a great show!

 

yep, I'm on disc 6 of 8. I was just watching the episode where Daria's school advertises with a soda brand, anyone remember that episode? Funniest episode I've seen so far. The school heavily (no exaggeration) advertises with soda machines everywhere in the school along with posters, and advertising on their roofs with the principal going nuts at the end from drinking too much soda. It was so hysterical.

 

Is the principal McVicker? That guy cracks me up.

I don't know who McVicker is, but the Principal in Daria is woman named Angela Li who is always self-centered.
