Anyways, this is a joke, literally. From my understanding, Bob is a joke character designed to parody the Mishimas. Namco needs to stop wasting time with joke characters and focus on the core gameplay mechanics. I think it's about time Tekken evolved a little bit from Tekken 3. Stair stepping can suck my ass.

Back to the new character, the design and even name are so plain/ugly.

Tekken 6 is gonna suck hard. 4 new characters and 2 returning characters (or new characters, not sure), item moves, rage mode, interactive stages...

They couldn't get Tekken 5 right and we ended up with Steve 5.0. I don't exactly have very high hopes for Tekken 6 when they're adding in all that crap.

 

Yeah, I think they need to cut the fat out. VF characters are different from each other. They need to have more depth to the characters and not having to do the same repetitive combo's. There's just not enough options to the gameplay.

 

something like this: he was a great fighter with a good looking body and was very beautifull but he couldn't beat heavier opponents,so he disappeared a few years ago to "engineer" is body.Now he's back to see the results.

I think he'll be cool if they have taken sometime to put some thought into his moves and combos. In other words give him some originality.

 

Seriously, this fighter looks more like a joke that Namco is pulling off. I do not think he fits well with the othe fighters. If he becomes official, then I guess I will have to quit playing Tekken for a while.[/size]

Yeah...I can see how a big fat guy might seem unrealistic or kinda jokey in that context.

I have a creeping suspicion this charismatic gentleman is actually Steve Fox's hidden, unloved twin (check out the gloves and hair - it's good ol' Steve, only +140kg and -hair gel!), now coming out of the shadows hoping to prevail over legions of kangaroos, battle androids, ninja cyborgs and half-demons and steal the spotlight!

Seriously, I can practically picture him pre-battle, hastily munching fish'n'chips, then pointing to his opponent and saying "I'm going to flatten you, mate!".

A comment on who Bob is based on...

"Bob's design was based mainly on hongkong martial art star SAMO HUNG. BOB's outfit design was also based on Samo Hung's two best classic, Peidcab driver and Millionaire express.
Watch the final fight in Pedicab driver , which see samo hung vs Billy chow. Hung was wearing exactly the same red outfit and pants.
One of the main namco character designer( forget his real name) was a fan of samo hung. He was also the one who design Law, Lei and Feng too."
