compilation of vf5 videos by characters?

Hi all!

Does anyone remember that thread that had a crap ton of EVO videos, all assorted by characters(would post the link but could not find it in search)?

Well, I would greatly appreciate it if we started something similar with VF5. Or have we already?

Or, if someone could direct me to a site that does have all this, that would be swell also (Japanese or English or Chinese for that matter is fine).

I don't know about everyone but most characters have a video thread of their own in their Dojo section.

And here is the thread that I think you were referring to. Assortment of VF Evo movies sorted by characters... All the links are dead.

 

Yes that's it, I knew assortment was in there somewhere. hmmm, well, all I can say is I would personally like to see something like this. Perhaps in the form of a mega thread and then stickied like before. Or as you mentioned, run with the individual characters section idea and have stickied video threads for each character. My training revolves around video watching so I hope to see something like this evolve.

In eileen's thread I started a thread for vids of good eileen's beatn' the crap out of people. There are also vids in the announcements section but not all are character specific. I agree it'd be easier to search for vids if you could pick the char you want. I just search on youutbe.

 

The problem with YouTube is, at least as far as I've seen, you can't save to hard drive, and it's not very well organized anyway. I'd like to see a nice downloadable library of match videos, like what we had for VF4 Evo (I downloaded so damn many of those...). But better-labelled.

Maybe an arrangement like that old SoulCalibur II match video database, SC Relaxism. Other than the lame 10-video daily limit, that was a really well-done library. You could even sort by player.

 

There's some Japan site with a CRAP TON of vids like what you're looking for. I forget the site, myself, but I'm sure someone here knows what it is and can link you to it!


IIRC, the vids aren't organized by any fashion other than date added, so skimming for vids of your character would be needed.

 

Uhm if you want videos, this is where I go on a daily/weekly basis for character specific videos. They are Japanese sites but you can seek out characters by name.

the link at the top left of the page, just under the "r" in "uploader" is where you want to go if wanting to search for a particular character.

Neobeast, I don't like using youtube either...like you said, poor organization.

Nah, it's all free, just click the links and wait for it to stream, or if you've got Flashgot you can download the wmvs from the site.
