DC area gathering before Xmas

ok, so... i went to magfest and got excited, and now i need more VF action in my life.

I'm planning a VF gathering for the weekend of dec 19-21, at my place, or possibly shadowdean's. theres apparently a crew of 8 people or so around here that have been playing for a while, and there were some at magfest that were pretty hardcore. we need to get everyone together and swap skills. i'm in gaithersburg, which is about 1/2 hour north of DC.

theres plenty of room for people to crash at my place, its not luxury, but theres a few couches and lots of floor... so anyone who wants to stay the whole weekend can.

well.. theres only about 6 people coming for sure.. and another handful in the 'maybe' category... there will definitely be me, mike, jaegan (friend of ours whos in TX now, not a lot of skills but he's into it) shadowdean, 1 or 2 of his crew, and you 2 in VA. there might be a few more of my friends getting into it here and there, some more from around here, a remote chance of supergolden i think, and who knows who else... i'm hoping to pick up a few random people from this forum...

soo.. not a hell of a lot of people, but certainly enough to make a weekend of VF enjoyable. the problem with magfest was there was like 4-6 hardcore people, and then a few interested but skill-lacking ones... we will have at LEAST 6 in the hardcore category. i'm expecting like 10-15 people in all.

yeah, i see no real point in an official tournament.. after a few games all around, it usually becomes evident as to where the relative skills of the players are... but if you wanna do a tournament, sure... and i guess announcing it in that forum would get a few more people paying attention...

Hey everyone, i haven't been on VFDC for like...a long time. I was the guy at MAGFest playing Goh. I haven't been playing alot lately, so I'm pretty rusty. I'll probably head up there to play some.

BTW, does anyone play anything 2-D? I don't want to take away from VF4, but if anyone is really good and wants to play maybe we could work that out. Just a thought...

hey i got my shit straight now asshole, she can get drunk and have sex with some dude and then i come back and have to listen to some sob story about how she didn't mean too and she is so sorry, while i'll be killing you all with the amazon queen of fury vanessa... it evens out... but yea im in, fbt is in, so i guess team r-type (lol too funny) even tho were missing derek is going to be up there around next week
