East vs West (Japan)Team Tournament 9/4

    Not sure if they will stream it (someone who can read or know of the event?), but there will be a eastern japan versus western japan team tournament this weekend. Two 5 man-teams (a "qualified" team and a "voted" team) per sides. Two different team match formats (I don't know the exact name for these formats) - Paired matches (each member play once against a paired opponent) and elimination style (winner stays on）.

    Tournament start time is 14:30 (2:30PM) Japan time (GMT+9) and it says the event will be streamed on the VF.TV LIVE Ustream page, which is here:

    EDIT: on the virtuafighter.jp page it says the stream goes live at 14:00 (2:00PM) JST.

    dkn29 - thanks for the streaming/exact time information!

    Shidosha - I think that one Akira (Homestay) was voted in. So he did not even had to do any qualifying matches.

    BTW, gotta change your avatar to Jean. For me... umm... I'll keep mine on the Portland VF4(b) machine streak record lol.

    ...and this is the first time I've watched this livestream... even though I don't understand it, I intend to check it every now and then ^_^

    (Now starting to wonder if these things get translated on the VF.TV boards--yeah, time to start checking those... I'm watching a birthday party around an empty VF5 FS machine?!)

    Also, after reading a little on virtuafighter.jp there will also be a stream of "Battle Audition 4th Season: Osaka" on Saturday 9/3 @ 14:30 (2:30PM) JST here:

    Oh man, thanks dkn29 and Chanchai. Looking forward to this.

    And yeah, a Lei (bottom tier apparently) qualified but an Akira didn't? Interesting.

    EDIT: Sorry a bit confused. So the first tournament starts in about 3 hours from now today? And then there is another one tomorrow night (PST)?
