*it seems every sports columnists say that the Baltimore Ravens are a top 5 team. I don't see it. They have always had a great defense, but their offense is horrid. They turn the ball over way too many times.

*Colts and Patriots both look like the team to beat.

*good news on that TE player from Buffalo possibly recovering to live a normal life. It's always scary to see those types of injuries.

*Week 1's recap= special teams. Poor coverage on many teams, players who can't scoop up a fumble, don't know how to signal a fair catch and than catch the ball, missed fg's.

*Michigan and Notre Dame: overrated, yet Charlie Weis is still an offensive genius. 2 games, no touchdowns

*OU bitch slapped Miami.

*USC will own Nebraska

*Pac 10 and SEC are the best conferences.

 

I agree the Patriots look really good and destroyed my JETS!!!

Also as far as college is, I think OU is looking for blood this year after being the end of a glorious bowl upset to boise state. USC might be rated best, but even as a Trojan fanboy I have to admit they are usually overrated each year.

PS: I'm silently rooting for my sisters team Hawaii, they maybe small/weak, but Colt Brenen is a gdlk quarterback. Next Tom Brady for sure.

Usc seems overrated over the past few years. But in the last five years, they were a few plays away from being undefeated in every game for the last five years. They seem to lose close games. Last five years, they haven't been blown out. So that's why they are so highly ranked and hyped I believe. It doesn't help when they have 10 running backs and two of them transfer just so they could get playing time.

 

HATERADE!!! Watch, Hawaii is going to be the Boise State this year, they'll make it to a bowl and upset a PAC10/Big 10/etc. Team.

It's interesting.. you are in the west coast.. and most people do like LSU better than USC. Here in the east coast, they are in love with USC slightly above LSU and even Florida.

We will see USC has a really hard schedule. Time will tell if they stumble or not. Everyone in the pac 10 is gunning for USC.

 

what do people think of the Pats accused of cheating? It seems this is a bigger story than Sammy Sosa using a corked bat.

They should be winning alot more if the accusations are true though. They fail at cheating. The quotes coming in from various players around the league are hilarious right now.

 

I think despite all these distractions, they will kill the Chargers.

 

I'm not happy with the ruling because there are no suspensions. Bill Bellicheat is only fined 500K, and the Patriots will lose a 1st rounder if they don't make the playoffs, or lose a 2nd and 3rd if they make the playoffs.

So much for putting coaches on higher standard.

Cheating is cheating, the Patriots shouldn't do it in the first place, they deserved to be fined, and they also have forfiet their multiple draft picks, it's like gainning an advantage on the opposing team, it's not fair. Now they just made they self a target.

 

problem with the penalty is that they will be penalized for next year's team. (losing draft picks and some money) not this year. Roger Goodell is very inconsistent with punishments.

 

Good stuff to Florida Gators for pounding they gave to Tennesse. Also plus to see USC show a little proof of their ranking with a pretty dominating game versus Nebraska.

 

USC's running game was just plain dominant. It's amazing how big the holes were that they offensive line opened up. Can you believe they have a freshman center starting?

Regardless of weither or not the Patriots are a bunch of cheating bums, they still handled the Chargers pretty handily. As I said, Tom Brady + Moss is just wrong. If you can control a game against a team as good as San Diego then something is broken.

 

Norv Turner and Ted Cottrell are wasting the Charger's talent. Horrible coaching job.

The niners are 2-0 at this point. I am so happy for them. We have pittsburg next and it should be a good matchup. But I am not sold on the steelers being contenders. Anything can happen.
