After playing a lot with Lion, I'm recently moving to Vanessa to play her more seriously. I've been playing Vanessa as my secondary char since VF4 but I have never been satisfied with the way I played with her, mostly from a consistency point of view asI can either own or get owned hard by the same player lol. Which is
OK for freeplay but not for Tourney. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smirk.gif

She's really one of the hardest char to play in the game imo (easier in VF5 though), but she is so interessting and has sooo many tricks it's really fun to play with her /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cool.gif.
Anyway check out SHwoKing Jeffry, he played him only a few hours in VF5 (doesn't own a PS3) but is already quite savage thanks to youtube intense watching sessions ^^. I plan on writing Vanessa's anti char tactics in the future, as I'm begining to have a clearer vision of how to play against some chars, and find a few tricks, but I'll wait until next Ranking Battle to see what works and what doesn't .

@ Unsafe_Dan: Yep this vid is from an old tourney, at the early ages of VF5, unfortunately I couldn't attend.

Anyway here are the vids of the last RB in Paris. Due to seedings the “true†final somewhat happened to be in the semis, indeed the final turned out to be some kind of rape lol.


I played Vanessa this time and ended up losing versus TheJoke’s sexy El Blaze, finishing 3rd. Though I didn’t play very well that day, the good side is I learned a few things on Vanessa during the weekend and noticed where I needed to improve (like not missing OS crumple combos at key moments lol).
