FS Character Storyline: Kage-Maru

Kage-Maru entered the 4th World Fighting Tournament to save the soul of his mother, Tsuki-Kage, who had been abducted by J6 and assimilated into the Dural Project. With his well-balanced combat skills he advanced to the final match of the tournament to face Shun Di, only to have the match disrupted by the sudden intrusion of Dural.

Kage-Maru knew he had to reach beyond Dural to whatever was left of Tsuki-Kage, but while locked in combat with her he realized that he was too late. Seeking to put an end to his mother’s suffering, he single-handedly destroyed the cyborg. Filled with anguish and despondent at not being able to do anything to save her, Kage-Maru knelt by Dural in silent prayer. However, unable to find a trace of Tsuki-Kage upon closer inspection, he surmised that the Dural he destroyed was not his mother, but only a generic production model.

After his own independent investigation, Kage-Maru ascertained that J6 had been continuing the Dural Project with a new model in development that incorporated Vanessa Lewis’ abilities. He also had reason to believe that Tsuki-Kage was still being held captive by the shadowy organization.

After receiving an invitation one day he decided to enter the 5th World Fighting Tournament not only to put an end to J6’s ambitions for good, but to attempt to save his mother again.
