Gatherings question...

I was curious, with all these gatherings that will slowly come up, I was wondering if for one of the big city ones (chicago, STL, NY, etc.) we can all pitch in and try to fly some Big Name over for some great fun and education..
I'm sure with the crowd we'd draw, we can pretty much all want to pitch in for air fare. Room, food, travel can be supplied by someone at that location with help of a translator..
I'm willing to help sponsor... ANyone else???? Plus do you think they'd want to.. doesn't cost them anything..
