How did you get to know VFDC?

Just curious.

I often tell new players I meet to come and check out the site. Almost 2 years ago, I had been stumbling around Ranked for a couple of months when @complexz told me about VFDC. Around the same time, fellow Taka @martianpulis mentioned the site too and I haven't looked back since!

How did you guys find VFDC?

 

Since I first seen Japanese ranbats for VF4E on A-Cho's old website, I grew curious about the game and stumbled here to download American match videos. Since then, I would occasionally lurk around to see what's going on with the community until I finally joined to sign Kamaage's VF5R petition.

 

Looking for vf5 vanilla combos, I found the combo compilation. But I didn't join our become active until a few months ago

 

I was browsing reddit just now when I stumbled upon the link to this site. I used to work and play VF4 at the same place Myke did in Sydney more than a decade ago. I'm blown away that this site is still going strong after all these years.

I met Unicorn on PSN ranked the other week. We played some games then I asked him what I could do to gitgud and he directed me to here for his first bit of advise.

 

a MA major put 5FS on the schedule and I wanted people to know about it.

 

About 2 years ago when I started playing vf5fs I was getting msgs on psn about how the peeps of vfdc are talking about me and that I am getting famous on this site without even being on it lol. So after a few months I decided to join, even though there have been some misunderstandings with a couple of you. I still like this site and it made me a better player at a game that I like and I have even pointed some players to this site as well.

 

Honestly, it was @soke who directed me here. When my journey here started, I was playing as much as I could trying to understand the basics and system of VF. I got frustrated because I couldn't figure it out and was suffering loss after loss. I was stuck on how Aoi should be played and how can I play her efficiently. After fighting him for a while, @soke told me to check out this site, look at the forums, and go from there. He was my first friend on VFDC actually Lol I think @BLACKSTAR was my second when I asked him to put me R.A.W for the first time, but no one played against me (._.) Lol

 

Are you on psn yet? I will play you if you are.

 

I was on PSN...but I sold my PS3 so I'm not on there anymore. The PSN side just wasn't for me. But I plan to get it back anyway because I need it for Tales of Xillia 2. So when I have it back, I'll re-download VF.

 

I read Krye's bio and decided to check it out.

 

Curiosity found me here on a bored night. I wasn't too familiar with Vf. Until I saw a video about it on Maximillian YouTube page. Then I got Ps+ just for Jet Set Radio and deals. Then I saw Vf for free. Why not download it? Free game on PSN it must be some type of free website right lol ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

One day I was playing rank against this Shun player(I think it was banok) and after we were done fighting he told me about VFDC and other stuff to get better. Though it wasn't until I met PoisonKid13, Riq, and daRockReaper when I actually decided to join the site.
