How to keep track of droppers

I know i could've posted this in the dropper thread, but i didn't want it to get lost. Back in the CvS2 live days, a lot of us players came up with a good system to keep track of people who drop. Basically, we'd mute the players who drop games. XBL keeps track of players you mute so that if they join your game say 10 days later, the mute icon is still there. So, all you have to do is if you believe someone dropped on you before and you're not sure, just check their gamercard or profile, there's should be a mute icon, and from there you can just deny the match. We used to use this same method to keep track of people who lag really bad.

Is it really that big of a deal? I've encountered 3 droppers in about 120 games...

If you have a someone who dropped and you are prett certain they pulled on you, just avoid the player if it really bothers you. No real need to start a tarcking system for it. I don't think it is being abused that much and we also have our little call out thread here.

Yep I do. I have been playing a bit last night and the night before. I don't remember you specifically but I know I played one Pai player that likes to start off with the backwards cartwheel a lot... not sure if thats you or not. But I love playing other Pai players so I can see other strategies out there.

I'm still trying to memorize 1/4 of the controls at this time. I haven't played a VF game since VF2. I knew all the characters in VF2, knew every single move each one had... and now, I am just clueless /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif Its fun!

Yeeeeeup, that was me. I almost always start a round off with /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/ub.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif. That and if my opponent has a habit of swinging a leg when they get up I'll /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif to /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif to /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif to /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif again and again until they stop swinging.

    Once they learn I play a lot of /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b_.gif games. That or I'll /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif to /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d_.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif to /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/db.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif to /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d_.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif. That being said you might really recognize my style now. A bunch of it is street fighter inspired. Hence the /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/db.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif.

A lot of players like to chase after me once I do /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d_.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif so the sweep can be very effective here. It also sets up for /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d_.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif or a /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif if I fell my attack is going to get snuffed. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b_.gif gives me a great guessing game against a lot of players. Opponents will usually eat 2 straight sweeps from /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b_.gif and it is hard from them to recover from that fall so I usually get a follow up hit. On the third /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b_.gif I'll /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif to launch them for a combo.

Not saying these are great Pai tactics but they're what I use a lot. Some other Pai pros would probably greatly differ on how I use her. I tend to repeat the tactics that people fall for a bunch. I hoping to diversify my attack more as well get WAY better on defense.

One thing I noticed about you is you like to use the /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif strings which doesn't really leave you all that safe if blocked correctly. And it isn't that hard to block these especially if you are not mixing in throws. You also used /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d_.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif a bunch which is very punishable when the /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif whiffs.

We should play again so feel free to add me. Please don't think that I am telling how to play. It's just some suggestions from what I remember of our matches.

Wow, got way off topic didn't I. Sorry about that. Feel free to once again debate the merits of tracking dropped matches.

Not at all, I welcome all suggestions. Usually if I tend to use the same thing over and over or if I use something super simple like PPPK (although I'll use that lots anyway, but I'm trying to interrupt it and do other things from it, like a low throw if my opponent likes to duck..etc..etc..) or what not, its cause I'm drawing a blank /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif It will take time until I'm more comfortable with her stuff. Last night I was really trying to learn all her cartwheels and use them at the right time.

But yeah, I always remember you from the back cartwheel at the start, so when I see it I know I'm up against the good Pai player /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

The next thing I was going to do is look up the moves you talkeed about... I THINK the /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d_.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif and the /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b_.gif ... now I'm really just trying to associate the moves that I saw you do with the buttons, I could be way off base /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Feel free to add me as well, if I had my way I'd only play people taht are better than me, only way to learn.

And sometime droppers just got disconnected. Like I get disconnected after 24H cause the provider resets the connection.
