IS my disc scratched

I have a Question i was playing vf5 and it started making this humming noise @ the beginning of the game and in between matcheS I found a scratch on the side of the disc I tried to clean it using the disc repair kit by madcatz it still doesn't work.This started last friday and this is the only game it happens to I tried NBA 2K7 and it runs fine. What should I do? Any advice would be appreciated

 

How did that happened? I thought Blu-ray discs were hard to scratch. Your game doesn't work at all?

 

It works except for the humming noise during the match loading screens. I'm ot sure how it happened though
