Will the latest version be released specifically for PC?

 

This answer is a little complicated. I'll try my best to answer.

Currently, people are playing VF5: Ultimate Showdown (2021), which is a remastered version of VF5: Final Showdown (2012) and was released on Playstation 4 & 5.

Sega then announced that they would be releasing a re-balanced version of that game called VF5: REVO for PC on January 27th, . This new game will also have rollback netcode, which VF5: Ultimate Showdown does not. However, VF5: Ultimate Showdown did also get the same balance updates that are being made in VF5: REVO for PC, so Ultimate Showdown is now called version 2.0.

However, none of these are the new VF title that Sega has announced that it is working on, which does not have a release date or specific release platforms announced yet.

So to answer your question, VF5: REVO will be commercially available on Steam on January 27th, 2025, assuming that is what you meant by "latest version." It had an open beta test in December. That's the one that is, as far as we know, a PC exclusive, and it will also have rollback netcode, but no crossplay with Ultimate Showdown on Playstation, even though they are kind of the same game.
