Knee > 33p is silly (Small Rant)

    Does anyone think that having 1 frame to buffer 33p(After Knee MC) is a bit unfair/silly?
    Maybe they should decrease /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif to 17 frames or make Knee MC +20.

    I've even noticed the best Goh players miss this time and time again.

    yea when I was training this in the dojo its really hard to combo this, let alone hit check it for MC before you tack on the 33p.

    I never even use kirin after the knee. Ever since I missed once I figured "The hell with it" and just went for crouch throw, Basara or /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f_.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif

    I think it gives a nice skill element to it. The secret is to buffer /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif really early and only press /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif when you've confirmed the counterhit.

    Might work to use /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df_.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df_.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif if you see Kirin ain't gonna hit.

    I mean, you buffer in the two down/forwards after the knee and if you think you're not gonna get the launcher for whatever reason, crouch dash into the throw.

    Oh right I see. I think in the next revision they will change it. I know depending on how early the Knee hits you can get Basara sometimes.

    It's no different than Aoi's reversal vs. full-circ kicks> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif.

    Practice it, it's actually the easiest part of his /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif combos (hehe).

    Ah, I wondered why I kept missing that. The whole 1 frame thing clears that up.

    It's not really hard to do, just hard to hit check. Still a bitch, though.

    Ah, I beg to differ.

    While on paper you need to connect an 18 frame move within 19 frames advantage, without wasting more than a frame, I think Aoi's MCR reversal /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif followup is much, much easier.

    Goh's /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif is 17 fr execution and 48 frames total, giving you essentially 31 frames, or 0.5 sec, to hit-check the CH and react accordingly.

    Aoi's MCR reversal when successful is unmistakable and takes an eternity to animate in comparison. This gives you way more time to hit-check, make a cup of tea, sit back down and execute the input. By my rough guess, you have about 90 frames (1.5 sec) to react for Aoi.

    It's the hit-check and reaction speed requirement that makes this much more difficult to execute for Goh. I agree it's definitely a skill move, and there's nothing wrong with that, considering that we're talking about max damage combos, around the 80 pt mark and up(!!!), off an uncounterable (-9!!!) knee!

    I've discussed this with Jide on irc before.

    I don't bother to do the uppercut followup after CH knee in a match, especially an online game. I still train the followup in Dojo and hope to make it staple in my game.

    Hell, I'll be honest to say that sometimes I miss /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/crazy.gif And I wonder if its me with slow reflexes or is it due to lag? /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/confused.gif

    Wow, that's impressive.

    I, too, can do it in Training mode against a CPU with Counter Hit turned on /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

    But if I set CPU to the highlest level, and just mess around trying to land /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif CH, I notice that I can't get the /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif to register as a 2-hit Combo very often. It still hits, but this is just the CPU being stupid I think. My measure for success was seeing 2-hit combo being registered from the knee.

    LOL. (false assumption though, and it isn't impressive: I have trouble combo'ing after /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif, remember his combos, and I rarely play him nowadays)

    If done right, /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif does 20 damage.
