Laptop monitor problem - please help

Does anyone reading this have experience with laptop monitors? Because mine is being stupid. This is what's happening. As you can see, there's two big light bars straight down the center.

This started late last night, about an hour or two after I wiped the screen off with a moist cloth because it was bothersomely dirty. I'm not sure if the cleaning had anything to do with it or not, but, in any case... does anyone have any suggestions as to what to do?

Actually Hieter976 has some experience with laptop monitors...maybe he can help.

 

it's probably a hardware problem and if it's still under warranty, dell will take care of ya. Do NOT mention the moist cloth, just say it started doing it out of the blue.

Probably moisture got into some LED's or wires somehow. Good luck.
