Live action VF movie (what if?)

I'm sure this has been done before, but I recently saw Kill Bill and it got me thinking about it again. Who would you cast as the VF characters in a live action movie? Here's my starter wish list:

Lau: Chow Yun Fat
Pai: Lucy Liu
Jacky: Keanu Reeves (bleach his hair)
Sarah: Uma Thurman
Shun: Jackie Chan (of course)
Lion: Seth Green
Lei Fei: Jet Li (of course)
Vanessa: Halle Berrey
Brad: Ben Affleck
Goh: Jean Reno
El Blaze: John Leguizamo
Jeff: Ving Rhames

Unfortunately I can't think of anyone specific for Akira, Kage, Wolf, Eileen, Aoi, or Taka-Arashi. Akira and Kage should have Japanese actors IMO, but I'm certain Ray Park (aka Darth Maul) would make a good Kage... He has the skills. I'm just not into pro wrestling anymore, but I bet there's a candidate or 2 there for Wolf.

Anyone else have better suggestions?

Seth Green for Lion would be good, yet he would have to receive some good training... I don't even mind some Chinese guy playing Lion. I just want to see a good performance of Mantis style, not a faked kickboxing shit, that the producers would probably make some whiny blond actor "perform".

Anyways.... Vanessa played by Halle Berry!? I mean...yeah, she looks good, we know that she can look good with white hair (X-men) but is she such a good actress that she can fight well?

John Leguizamo for El Blaze? Well.... if they don't find anyone else....NO! Only one guy can play this char and you all know who... but I'll leave it as Mystery /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

Jeff? Michael Clarke Duncan with a small beard and mustache would be the best choice I think...you've got to agree on this one. This guy's huuuuuge /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif
There was this movie with Van Damme, The Quest I think was the title, and there was a sumo wrestler there, they could use him as Taka.
Maybe Jet Li, Chow Yun Fat, or Jackie Chan could play Akira if they know baji

Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa could be used as either Kage, or lau if needed.

Steven Seagal for Aoi, Winnona Ryder for Eileen, and The Rock for wolf..... but honestly, I have no idea about those three...

 

Brad=Mark Dacascos, Chow as lau is a very good choice. Halle berry I don't know... Where would Tony Ja fit in the list???

 

The rest of this I'll have to think about and post/edit later, but my choice for Aoi, hands down?

Ayako Miyake

She's decent looking, Japanese and she's clearly athletic enough to do anything fancy that might be needed since she's won the Kunoichi obstacle course 3 times in a row.

it would lean more toward vf4 vanessa rather than vf5 though..but i think thats a good choice

Ken Watanabe (Kage) and Ayako Miyake (Aoi) are good choices. I've seen Miyake on Ninja Warrior, too. She could definately pull it off with her athletic and performance background. She's a professional dancer, right? But we need someone for Akira. He would be a key role.

I am serious about Jean Reno. I think he would do Goh justice.

Serena Williams as Van would work too. Is she interested in acting someday? Oh wait, I remember seeing that she did a cameo role on some TV show a few years back...

I originally chose Ben Affleck for Brad because I know he could pull off Brad's attitude and personality... not that he could do his fighting style justice. Hmm... maybe Hugh Jackman?

I think the bad selection of actors, bad idea for a movie, and a completely retarded script would cancel each other out to make a classic movie that our great grand children will look upon with awe and refer to us as the "greatest generation."

I almost forgot. Even though he isn't an actor, i'm almost 100% sure that phil baroni was the inspiration for the brad character and they need to cast him!

Suck, yeah from a critical point of view, but it'd be funny as heck. Main problem is mixing actors with fighters. I'd probably go for a cast of stuntmen/women and say to blazes with the acting.

Still:
The Rock as Wolf might not be a spot on match, but hey, what are you going to do? Maybe Stellan Skarsgard? (check him with wild red hair in Beowulf & Grendel) I think the rock could work.

I think Venus Williams (definately not Serena) as Vane is an intruiging idea. At first I thought it was utter rubbish, but a few minutes on its starting to grow on me. Still a tad weird thought though.

If they due a movie based on Virtua Fighter Characters it should be called J6, and not something retarded like Virtua Fighter the Movie. It would trick out movie goers and fans of the game would know exactly what the movie would be!!!
