Need some help with Vanessa....

I'm having a problem learning how to do one of her moves:

And one of her combos from the tactics tutorial.

What's the timing for the . I always get the down attack.

There are two tricks to this. One, you gotta wait a split second to do the as they are in the crumbling animation, so that they bounce high off the floor. Two, press instead of to get the side kick and not the down attack.
