Need some tech help

How do I install IRC on my server, I have a bbuilt in online irc chat room, but want my own irc server, can anyone help out here, thanks.

 

afiak, it's pretty easy to set up an irc server for your own self. however, to become an affiliate server for a major network like efnet is near impossible. you have to fill out massive forms and questionaires and be approved by a commitee.

anyway, back to personal server - did a quick search and found this: <a target="_blank" href=http://dfn.org/workshop/chat3.htm>dfn.org/workshop/chat3.htm</a>. go to personal server section. you can probably find better info with a little digging.
