Hey, are there any VFers in the Seatac area? I need to retrain. Unfortunately I don't have a PS2 or stick here, but if anyone else does, would love to spar with you.

    Hey Ice,

I don't know any VFers up in Seattle at the moment, though I know there were some people that did play up there. And for awhile, there was at least a Soul Calibur 2 scene up there too.

I'm up for a visit sometime if you're interested, would be nice to see you again. I'm mostly in Portland these days which is a little less than a 4 hour drive, but Seattle's always a nice place to visit.

Back to Seattle, in its past I know there were pretty good or decent followings for the following games: MvC2, TTT, SC2, VOOM, VOOT, and I'm sure there's a decent Tekken 5 scene there. I mainly went up there for the VOOT scene which was wonderful in its day. Not to mention fighting the crazy melee style of the Seattle scene was more than worth the trips. I'll ask around and see if there are any known VF enthusiasts up there.

I do have a few friends in the Portland area who would love to see you play though. So maybe I'll organize a group trip on some Saturday or something.

Hey Chanchai, sounds good...maybe I'll drive down to Portland instead. Would love to check out the city. I'll need time to get my work here in order (that Friday I took really, really hurt), but I have plenty of time now that I don't need to train to win $600.

Heh, np. Feel free to come down anytime, you could probably even stay at my family's place for a day or two if you wanted a weekend trip.

The main arcade for Portland is at Lloyd Center Mall in East Portland. The Tilt arcade is on the top floor next to the theatre and there's a VF4(b) machine among other fighting games. I haven't been there in awhile, but it was the main place where the Portland fighting game community would converge.

You met Ray back at the E3 gathering in... 2002? I believe he still frequents that arcade and his VF skills should still be pretty sharp. My pal Dennis is pretty good too. I'll see who else I can find, there were two guys from Guam who were great pals but also darn good, but they've both moved /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Either way, Portland is a nice city to visit even if you just want to go sightseeing. Also, if you like beer, the city's got plenty of it and a happy Microbrew scene.

Anyways, just let me know whenever you think you'd like to come down (or if you want me to go up there) and I'd be happy to accomodate. Scheduling ahead of time, I'm sure we could get something good going.
