About a week and a half ago I got a dazzle dvd recorder, and I finally uploaded my own fights, these are ones I had over the past week. I thought I'd share them. 6 up right now, with more to come at some later point.

Good stuff man. You've definitely leveled up a lot and come a long way, you can tell just by your thinking. And this isn't the end either, you'll continue to improve you can tell.

Told you the GT match comments last time but in this match it shows your momentum with Sarah is scary (which is probably one of her inherent scary traits I guess). Was real close in the end too, scary being against that wall huh? lol

I'm balls all online but found out I can learn a lot still even when not on my game. Let's try and play soon, you could teach me a lot.

I definitely feel that I've gotten alot better, atleast defensively. I like to do goofy unsafe and stylish setups sometimes, and I figured that if I improve my defense then it'll help. And I've been trying.

Sarah's momentum can definitely be pretty scary, but if you can keep a cool head throughout, then she can get into a lot of trouble. I guess being a Sarah player, i gotta keep a cool head too though, due to the riskiness involved.

Yeah, we can play anytime, just send me an invite and we can play some. It's been a long time since we've played.

as far as tips: take advantage of sarah's fast jab. slip it between your opponents combos and also double up on it. p, pause, p then whatever. By mixing up one jab and jab pause jab it makes you much harder to defend against. This is really true vs anyone. Anyhow, i think it would help to alleviate some of your opponents offensive pressure (like in the first GT vid).

 

Nice Vids Slide. I did notice you defense did get better though (AS if it need to be lol!.) Hey we all can get better regardless.
Since i last played and Lucky was one of my last very good opponents (This Motherfucker don't miss combo's for shit lol.) Atleast against his Goh (Not in general because of his options.) You must keep in Mind is ability to reverse disadvantage situations and gain a big momentum.whenver i leave VF5 alone for a few weeks i start to analyze a lot of things since my last battles. Of them is that i adopted the lest is more attitude against certain characters.

btw maybe it's cause I still use the same customized Sarah, but these videos are a year old and so is this thread.

Goh's ability to switch the disadv just like Aoi is very tough. Goh's kick sabaki can shave about 85% of Sarah's options at any given time. The kick sabaki also can go under highs at a certain point, and even sabaki her full circular moves(except FL K+G) in the 3 videos at the top of the thread, I was experimenting with Sarah's step stance out of flamingo as a way to delay attacks to beat the kick sabaki.

The sad part though is that looking at these videos now a year later, we were both kind of playing pretty silly.

The experimentation had changed up. I dropped trying to use Step Stance as a way to delay vs the kick sabaki. At that time I was trying that cause I saw a Sarah in amusebeebee trying it, but thta player was mad spaced out. That shit just wasn't rewarding either.

SDS thanks for the defensive improvement compliment from before, btw man. Though I'm extra critical of my own game, that's why I cringe looking at these old ass videos sometimes. I didn't think my defense made an improvement until like the end of the summer last year too.

 

I'm glad that you put up the remaining vids that you didn't post in this thread here. I know I'm late and all but I like those old vids. It's cool to me to see the different styles that players use to play with and the style they play with now.

Hopefully you get into saving and uploading fights again. You have a flashy and very effective style and I bet you have some really cool fights with a lot of people here. Save and upload them man, I'm positive I'm not the only one on youtube that wants to see this happen /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

What? Attacking in between a combo? You're just asking to get counter hit by doing that. You're better off evading if you don't want to guard someones combo.

Anyways, it's very basic knowledge to attack at an advantage and many people on the site already understand that. After a /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif that is blocked, hit, or counter hit you're at frame advantage. There are a lot of better options after it, such as 6p, or a 0f grab.

Hitting /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif after /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif isn't really good advice.. someone can just evade it, 2p, or duck.

There is a whole boat load of more useful flow charts.

A combo is a series of guaranteed attacks so inputting evades, guards whatever is just a waste of time.

Thanks man I appreciate it. Watching some of my old videos makes my head spin though, cause it's old stuff and it's mad hindsight for me.

As for the last time I was playing, I hardly ever saved matches anymore because I wasn't thinking about it at the time. Sometimes I think I pick the wrong ones haha. You might be the only guy on youtube that does, nah I'm joking.

Anyway again I say what? Because I don't even know what your advice even means. And doubling up with P, G, P, is day one answer to opponent trying to P out of P - 6P on guard. Glory brought up there being better options at that.

I made this thread a year ago with the intention of getting criticism, flames, advice, props, etc thread went by the wayside and got brought back from the dead. I'm still open to critiques, advice, props, flames, etc but I just don't even have a clue of what your advice even means.
