    Bears vs Colts

I think Manning is overdue, but realistically I think the Bears got it. Either way I'm glad the Patriots are out for several reasons.

    Go Colts!

Not-the-Manning and the rest of the Indianapolis Dolts. Now I have 2 weeks to come up with a mocking theme song to honor them. "When the Saints Go Marching Home" is starting to lose its appeal.

it's "when the saints go marching in" & i'm seriously thinking about boycotting the superbowl this year or maybe only watching the commercials. fuck chicago. fuck the cubs. the bears. whatever. mike ditka needs viagra to get an erection & walter payton is dead. nothing personal. fuck chicago.

    Tom Brady hater!!! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/mad.gif

Lol but yeah I say the bears. People need to stop hating on the Patriots for knocking the Chargers out, not they're fault they're still good.

i despise eli mannning - spoiled brat, but peyton is overdue

belichick and his team are asses, i lost what little respect i have for their clutch performances in previous years after this debacle.

liking the pats is equivalent of liking the spurs for me, history's most boring to watch dynasties. Atleast I have more respect for the Spurs than the Patriots, damn sore losers.

Brady rocks, and the Patriots rock for getting this far on what they had going for them this season.

Those videos really do need to be taken with a grain of salt. Everyone talks shit in football and everyone has an ego. I don't think the events on that field can be taken into an overall assesement of each player's personality.

The Patriots blew that game against the Colts. Really they did. To allow a team to make the biggest comeback in history for postseason play on a locked game vs a rival team hurts man. Big time. As far as that handshake business - man give me a break and lets not read too much into that. He wasn't going to hug and kiss him after his team sucked a major Manning cock on poor defense/flags. Take it at face value man. Look at the surrounding events to understand what it is athletes/coaches feel during those types of situations. The best players in any sport exhibit some type of arrogance by nature... otherwise they'd never believe in themselves enough to be the best and win multiple super bowls.

Edit: Correction, I'm sorry I think the Colts tied what was like the fourth (?) biggest comeback in the playoffs.

I would like to take it with a grain of salt, but when Manning always faces up to Brady after the multiple times he got eliminated off vinateris foot, I would like to see the same respect likewise. They are "professional" athletes after all, getting paid millions. Brady and Belichick should act like one instead of storming off the field. Likewise, you think it was appropriate of the Pats to jump huddle LT at the end of the chargers game. That pretty much sums up the rest of the reasons why I hate the pats this year.

I think you need to learn more about what goes on in the locker room Alex. It's football and people give each other shit - especially if they see someone acting sauced out like a "pussy". Sure it was a dick move, but I hardly believe it's isolated. You should hear the shit people say to each other on the line of scrimmage.

I do know what goes on, and even the sucker punches that go on in the dogpile. Its still a poor excuse for bad sportsmanship. If 95% of the rest of the league can show good sportsmanship after a game, I dont see how that exempts the Patriots from the same.

They don't and there's no way to account for what players are gonna do/say to each other. It's because it's the Patriots and it's because they're in the limelight.

Edit: I'm going to add that this has nothing to do with my take on these types of actions. What I'm trying to diffuse here is that it is somehow only the Patriots that partake in these types of taunts / unsportsmanlike conduct. Like I say it's football. The heat comes with the kitchen folks.

Nope. Dead wrong, pal. After that sound trashing they recieved at the hands of Papa Bear's team, it's definitely "When the Saints Go Marching Home"... defeated after the NFL "experts" ALL picked them to handily beat the Bears.

I'm from Indiana and I am rooting for the Colts, but not as hard you would think. Peyton seems a litle spoiled to me. I do like Dungy a lot though. They are probably going to win. I think there's too much offense and Grossman will choke.

My prediction: Colts 38, Bears 20.

    Super Bowl MVP: Peyton Manning

Urlacher just scares me. I think one solid hit on peyton might shake him up enough for the game. Grossman doesnt really need to be too spectacular against the colts defense to make it count. Itll be a close game, i want the colts to win, but i give the edge to the bears still.

This is as tight a Superbowl matchup as I've seen in 10 years. I haven't missed a pick since Denver's first but this year I just don't know. All year I've thought the AFC champ was the de facto NFL champ but when the Ravens were knocked off and the Chargers were knocked off and the Pats were knocked off you're left with more or less the chokingest elite team in NFL history. Wait, that was another Colts team wasn't it?

Field position. Turnovers. Solid QB. Defense. This will be a good game & is too close to call, though I suppose I have to root for the Colts on account of having cooked for both Addai & Booger when they were at LSU. But then the Bears knocked my team off (I've chilled out) so part of me wants to at least lose to the champ. Shit.

Thing is, I don't think that the Colts have really choked so much. They have run into great teams. The Steelers just beat the crap out of them last year, and the Pats have beaten everybody so there's no shame in losing to them. I think that the Ravens, Chargers, or Pats would beat the Bears. Since Indy came out of that AFC, why should they lose?

karma. seen the video of the trucks leaving in the middle of the night? then baltimore goes and woos the CLEVELAND BROWNS? & that team strokes a superbowl more or less directly thereafter? this is way older than all that. we are seeing the culmination of something that stretches before our births.

    <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body"> Since Indy came out of that AFC.</div></div>

before the merger they were an NFL team not an AFL team. remember joe namath and the guarantee. the jets were the unheralded AFL team & the colts were from the superior NFL.

    <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body"> I don't think that the Colts have really choked so much</div></div>

the colts are historically wishy-washy...they're one of two teams (the broncos are the others) who managed to actually LOSE a superbowl to dallas before the 90's.

    <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">They have run into great teams. </div></div>

    or helped create them.

trading marshall faulk & turning the LAMBS headed by KURT WARNER into superbowl champions.

    <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body"> no shame in losing </div></div>

my team has 40 years of shame in losing. there is no fucking next year. there's so much shame in losing that eli manning's dad didn't want him to get drafted by the SAN DIEG0 CHARGERS because he remembered what he had to go through with my team. ARCHIE'S SHAME fueled those intercourse sessions around PEYTON'S CONCEPTION. Peyton's spark IS the shame of losing. He's LUCIFER really. The anti-christ. His father was a SAINT afterall. THE BEGINNING OF THE END.

So here it is again. The BEARS have a date with destiny & THE HISTORY OF THE COSMOS is on the line.
