ok, here are some of the footage taking place at onny's... it's good to see some nice brad play for a change. also the returned kneeninja comes back for some akira action. enjoy.... http://www.apdc09.dsl.pipex.com/movies
before anyone says so: yes, i need to learn to ETEG properly and yes, i need to learn to step properly. heh heh. but it's all good! me and knee had some nice intensity in those matches.. maybe i'll upload some more soon, all depends on how much my ISP complains about the bandwidth usage /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif btw here are the direct links: KneeNinja (AK) v Onny (BR) 1 KneeNinja (AK) v Onny (BR) 2 KneeNinja (AK) v Onny (BR) 3 match one has a weird ending.. see for yourself. that's a successful dodge too! maybe i accidentally added an input at the end.. must be the only explanation. *goes to check command input*
I enjoyed these replays. My personal opinion however is that knee (Akira) stay away from the low punch when in trouble. Could lead to massive damadge. Brad can be interutped by a high punch if timed corectly. But these were very good matches and you both had very good execution. Always good to see straight up good fighting mate.
can't wait till the next gathering....... (not that i've made it for this one, nice matches btw /versus/images/graemlins/cool.gif)
Fun matches and nice to see someone using Akiras sabakis / reversals instead of just 'ing all the time. Wasn't anything special at the round 1; akiras +can only be evaded / dodged in one direction as it's semi circular. I hella strongly disagree with BigBoyYoAss opinion about doing highpunches against Brad. Btw, I don't understand your team situation etc over there - someone care to explain who are where and which guys plays togheter? /KiwE (Burger King > McDonalds to the point of insanity).
ah thx for clearing that up kiwe. semi-circular eh? i guess i should have thought of that earlier.. but the fact that i did a "successful" evade confused the issue for me hehe. as for the teams thing.. well it's kind of informal really. Team Anything Goes VF used to be some guys who practiced in a London borough (ie district) called Norbury.. but they've since extended their ranks. we are currently trying to find a time and place where we can all meet up and praccy, but it's tough because of different work/uni commitments. if i have a day off i invite guys to my house, but because i don't have much room it's first come first serve /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif hence the cross-team battles! hehe.
KwiE - what happened is that akira's low backfist has a slow animation which means that if you MC evade too early the move will track. it's the same with moves such as wolf's + except much more blaytant. the trick is to simply evade a little later /versus/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
Fuck me for saying it's semicircular cause yeah, it isn't. The worst part is I've been corrected on this one time before and still haven't learned *hits head against board* /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif In the back of my mind I keep having this picture of practising evading in the right direction against this move where I exchange Jacky for Akira.
hi i've taken down the old ones and uploaded some others (only 30mb webspace!) this time it's me vs occasional VFDC poster and IRC lurker jide. he uses Lion. here's the direct links: Jide (LI) v Onny (BR) 1 Onny (BR) v Jide (LI) 2 Jide (LI) v Onny (BR) 3 hope you enjoy them. they're all pretty close, and both of us have our moments of brilliance and our moments of stupidity /versus/images/graemlins/laugh.gif p.s, the videos are in xvid.. sorry if this causes any trouble, but it's the best compression /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Hey guys, Good fights, some nice attacks against rising opponents. But where were the throw reversals /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif?
hehe.. i will admit right now that i'm pretty hopeless with throw reversals.. it's something i'm working on though /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Heh Onny, Tell me about it! I've spent all my free time recently practising guarding throw escapes etc. and just beginning to see a little light. Still, absolution is still a few months away so there's hope for me yet!!!!! LOL --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Light weights beware! +,,,,+ (open foot)
