Use for 8/2 K+G?

    Goh kinda sidesteps and kicks his foot out a bit. I think Pai has a similar move, but this doesn't seem to hit anybody if they are standing still.

    Am I missing something? It looks like it could be like... an... anti-sidestep (sidestep sabaki? Heh...), but I've only ever connected it by accident.

    What is this move for? It looks really badass when it happens, but how can I incorporate it into my game?

    Beats techrolls (to the side), and evades. Also after CH /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif (but /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif is better).

    Basically it boils down to a good guess.

    Another secret: You and an opponent are fighting next to a wall (both parallel and almost touching it), do /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif_/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/u.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif (towards the wall) and if they don't block it, it connects. Tack on /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif or risk a /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif_/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif.

    I use it when I anticipate a tech roll from a knockdown. I dash in and try a direction. (most people prefer to tech roll towards the screen so I mostly apply /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/whistle.gif )

    Ex:
    Followups after /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif
    After /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif
    /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif on normal hit

    After the current examples, if they tend to not tech roll try a ground throw instead. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smirk.gif

    yeah usually you want to get a feel for where they have a habit of evading or techrolling to. You can do that by ground throwing so they learn to tech roll then you'll see which side they like to go to. Then when it matters use the move so they tech roll into it. then when they stop teching just go back to ground hits or grabs.

    I have another question. Rather than make a new topic, I guess I'll just post it here if that's okay.

    What are the conditions to connect: /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif (CH) -> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif -> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d_.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif?

    It seems to miss 100% of the time on El Blaze's little ass. I can't really connect it 100% on anybody, though. What gives?

    Can you even do a /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif to Blaze before he crumples after it?

    On the mass majority of people who can't tech on Live you can even do retarded stuff like /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif -> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif -> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d_.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif -> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif -> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif -> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif -> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif. LoL.

    Also another brief noob question. His OM /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif seems to stagger crouch, but on CH his OM /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif has this weird property. They kinda... flail around... I'm sure it's in the wiki, but the question is, which should I use when? Is the P just plainly better? I see the Goh AI only use OM P. OM /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif can OTG though... similiar to his /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif for follow-ups.

    What happened to Goh's throw in VF: Evo (kinda looks like /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif) where he kicks you in the gut while you're face down, then stomps on your back? /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

    Not sure about the 66K CH combos, but there's a list of what to use for each character and stance in the combo thread.

    As far as the OM K, I think you're getting that nice crumple from the CH on their side. You can bounce them with 66P+K and combo from there when you get that crumple. As far as using it, a great time to go for the K is when you see that you've successfully evaded their chain and they're still attacking, because a counterhit OM K = big damage. Don't throw it out randomly, though, because it's definitely punishable.

    to connect that shoulder after 2p do you crouch dash? if u stay in place then i dont think it will hit? i make it a habit to crouch dash for shoulder so i can get closer so i dont know if thats why your missing the shoulder.

    It was still present on location tests, in the end it got scratched, just like that. The animation for that throw was pretty weird (pretty badass though), so that's probably a good riddance.

    On topic of 2/8 K+G, I love that attack and I'm using it so much my opponents prefer to simply stay on the ground after a while (and that's where ground throws come in /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif ), or... they simply get up pretty much in place. Is there an option to beat them when they choose that option?

    Also, 2/8 K+G seems to have pretty weird properties/hit box: sometimes it's a normal hit, sometimes a CH, but sometimes the opponent simply rolls away and doesn't trip over the leg, even though I use the same attack to beat him to the ground as usual. Any idea why is this happening/how to counter?

    I appreciate any help.

    Throwing them would be a good option (provided they don't perform a rising kick of course)

    I believe rising kicks can be evaded using a well timed OM.

    yeah the OM can evade the rising kicks however you gotta figure out which way they do it cus i think its a half circle attack. So you gotta evade in the right direction. Im gonna sit down one day later this week maybe and test out all the characters so we can get a hold on which way the kick comes.

    i had the theory of it being based on the characters main foot righty or lefty or maybe how they landed from the air(closed stance or open). i hope theres a way to figure this out so you can use OM on wake up more efficiently.

    I seriously, as a new player of Goh just used the move as a taunt or a dance if I won. But it's main use is for dealing with tech rolls? I thought it ended up countering low kicks and the like.

    I was just tinkering around with that move before my internet went out. XD I thought Goh was the only one with a move like that? Pai has one too? o_O
