VF2

Since we don't have a proper forum for it, i'll post it here.

VF2 seems to be everywhere, and i managed to get a nice little handheld SEGA Genesis at Sam's Club, so now I have VF2 on the go. It's only single player, but i'd like to get good with it, anyway, so what can anyone tell me about it? I'm not 100% sure how the throw mechanic works, but i noticed the universals seem to be consistent (although smaller in amount) with the newer games. Anyone got general tips, combos, or anything of that nature?
