Hello again all. I managed to find a nice Japanese page with some VF4Evo information on it, especially stuff about the new characters.

    http://www5.lunartecs.ne.jp/~paranoia/vf4evo/index.html

It's also got some really nice fanart, which is always a plus in my book (^_^)

Anyways, there are character profiles available on here, and I haven't seen them anywhere else. So, needing some Japanese practice, I decided to attempt a translation and post it on here. If there are any errors, blame it on my mediocre Japanese skills.

    Gou Hinogami
    Nationality: Unknown (Asian)
    Sex: Male
    Blood Type: AB
    Occupation: Assassin
    Hobby: Collecting silver accessories
    Height: 176cm
    Weight: 66kg
    B/W/H: 105/79/85
    Style: Judo

J6 is an evil organization, therefore, there have been times when an informant from within aims to expose them.
But within J6 exists an arm whose speciality is exterminating such traitors.
In there, orphaned young boys and girls are captured and trained as perfect assassins; moreover, multiple assassin forces have been built up in this fashion. Serving under his commanding officer is an Asian youth.
    Gou Hinogami.
His father was a judo expert chosen to go to the Olympics, but, a jealous friend whose career aspirations were unsuccessful murdered him, and Gou became an orphan. Soon after, the Organization found him, and trained him in assassination arts.
Orders have come down to him from above. He will appear in the World Fighting Tournament, and will send the participants into dark oblivion...

    Starting quotes:
"Kita na... deha hajime yo ka" (You came... shall we begin?)
"Mezawari da na... teme~ kara keshite yaru." (You're an eyesore... I'll get rid of you.)
"Sukoshii dake asonde yaru ka" (Shall we play just a little?)

    Win quotes
(Bringing his face close) "Masateru to demo omotteiru no ka?" (A little confused on this. It's something like "Did you think I was superior?")
"Teme~ yowasugiru na... korosu ki ni naranai ze..." (You're too pitiful... I can't think of killing you.)
(Slanted camera angle, "Mekeinu ga... sonomama nemutteiro!" (You're a loser, and... you'll sleep in this state.)

Note that "teme~" is a pretty vulgar way of saying "you". He talks like a punk. This is the sort of character you love to hate.

    Brad Burns
    Nationality: Italian (?!)
    Sex: Male
    Blood type: B
    Occupation: Kickboxer
Hobbies: Thrill-seeking, womanizing (oooh, an Italian Stallion. Har har har.)
    Height: 178cm
    Weight: 68kg
    B/W/H: 105/78/88
    Style: Kickboxing

*Still working on translating Brad's story. There's a sentence I'm having some problems with, but I'll try and get it done soon.*

    Starting quotes:
    "Bring it on."
    "Hunting time."
"How about a warm-up? Come on!"

    Win quotes:
    "Checkmate."
"Is that all you got? I was hoping for better than that."
"I sting like a bee, bite like a tiger." (More lame half-assed Ali imitation?)

I found another Goh Hinogami site. In addition to an item list, it has a combo list, movelist, and a BBS.

    http://shibuya.cool.ne.jp/hinogami/

Thanks for the lead, Zero-chan. The more I hear about Goh, the more anxious I am to play VF4 EVO.

Does anybody have any other sites for Brad?? Seems like im the only one who wants to use him instead of Goh.

So far, most of the info I've read about Brad is on different Japanese BBS'. Overweight BBS has a Brad movelist, and it gives feedback on each move. Click the green "enter" tab. Look to the left of the page, and look for two links with "new" next to them. The second link leads to Brad's movelist. There's also the site that Zero-chan posted. I haven't seen any Brad specific sites yet.

Finally got Brad's story translated. It's pretty lame. Here goes...

In the kickboxing world, a new style is being created. A newcomer, Brad Burns, suddenly appeared and won many successive victories. Because of his good looks, he has many female fans. What's more, he likes to go out with such girls at night after his battles and present a charming personality. In the ring, his manner is the opposite of his social self, and he overwhelms opponents with sharp attacks.
Quickly he was rising to the champion's seat. After becoming the undefeated champion, there was nobody in his region left to do battle with, so he began to look for his next stage. About that time, a woman told him about the World Fighting Tournament. It is a different kind of martial-arts fighting, and he wanted the thrill of an especially heated fight. Thus, he determined he would participate in the tournament.

    Some badly wrecked Goh info.

By combining the might of cafeglobe and altavista's translation tools, I have some junk on goh from this link. Big thanks to ghostdog for hunting down the link. Also big thanks to devilrei/zerochan for help with the translation.

    http://shibuya.cool.ne.jp/hinogami/

    Info:
    Moves -
    [P] - high punch
    [P][P] - P-mid bodyblow, like akira.
[4][6][P] - like akira's, hits high. Throwable if blocked?
[6][P] - stomach strike, low damage. Sounds like an elbow.
[6][P][P] - second hit is mid, throwable if blocked. Maybe like aoi's f+P,P.
    [6][6][P] - RIMON . Akira-like elbow/dashing elbow?
[6][6][P], [4][P][G] - hit throw, reminiscent of aoi's b,f+P hit throw. Only works on MC (and mC??)
[4][P] - forces crouch. On interrupt, a low throw is guaranteed?
[3][P] - staggers crouchers. Some note about a certain followup (strike?) being easy.
    [2][P] - common low punch.
[4][3][P] - hits low, a hand sweep? Even on counter, doesn't knock down.

    [K] - fast mid kick.
[6][K] - on MC, possible to follow with f+PK, P.
[3][K] - always knocks down, rare for a sidekick these days.
[4][6][K] - mid 'kick to chest'. "It deals with almost all kicks" ... kick sabaki?
[2][K] - standing low kick, "not so user-friendly as the low kick of Lei."
[1][K] - crouching low kick, more reach than above.

[P][K] - reverses opponent's punches. Doesn't mention damage. From the followup, I take it this is a catch reversal, like vanessa's.
---[P][G] followup: Throw. Mentions walking, maybe walking animation?

[4][P][K] - mid, floats on normal hit, combo followup is possible despite slow (recovery?). If charged, it's a guard crush.. the opponent staggers if they block it.

[6][P][K] - tough to use due to slow exe? hits mid.
[6][P][K][P] - second hit combos if the first hits normally, second hit knocks you on your rear. Does this mean a normal knockdown, a butt stumble, or a flop I wonder?
    [6][6][P][K] - mid.
[2][6][P][K] - mid, maybe comparable to akira's shrm. Causes 'wobble' if it hits. Stagger? ..definitely throw counterable.
[4][6][P][K] - mid, crumples on normal hit... since it's a stomach crumple, a low throw followup is possible.
[3][P][K] - tough to translate. A mid thrust that handles elbows and (mid?) punches? Either a sabaki or something akin to a mid P pai-style inashi.

[8] or [2][P][K] - hits low. Axis shifting, meaning either it dodges slightly and thereby changes the axis of battle, or else changes stance. Probably the former. The move is semi-circular, meaning the oppt. must know which way to dodge. Funny translation blat: "it is as for the partner in crotch tearing state"
[4][6][P][K] - hits low, "the same person as D Benet" ..in other words like defensive stance vanessa.
    [4][6][P][K], [P][G] - throw combo - to a "grip state" ... i.e. a catch?

[K][G] - typical fully circular crescent.
[K][G],[P] - akin to aoi's f+KG,P.. second hit is mid and stomach crumples on normal hit.
[6][6][K][G] - high - a 'full body' type of K+G attack. Comes out slow.
[6][6][K][G],[4][P][G] - hit throw. Works even if guarded. Timing is very strict.
[8] or [2][K][G] - if it hits, it goes into a throw animation... depending on the (type of attack your opponent tried?). Semi-circular. Hits low.
[1][K][G] - a low spin kick, knocks down on MC (and maybe even mC?).
    [3][K][G] - a slower low kick.
[3][K][G][6][P][G] - a hit throw, possible if the first hit is a MC.

    Throws:
    [P][G] - about 40 pts. damage.
    Side throw: 50 pts. damage.
    Back throw (not described).
    [8][4][2][6][P][G] - a damaging 270 throw, ~80 pts (!)
[4][1][2][3][6][P][G] - a nice HCF+P+G throw, damage is about 60 but a ground attack is guaranteed (or merely possible).
[6][6][P][G] - a catch throw, apparently of the inescapable-and-does-damage type (think wolf's f,f+P+G). A ground attack and maybe even a pounce is possible afterwards.
[3][P][G] - Goh kills his opponent with a swift chop to crotch. Not really.
    [3][3][P][G] - about 40 pts, ground attack is guaranteed/possible.
[4][P][G] - about 40 pts. A strange not ... at the moment's time.. is tentatively translated as meaning instant. Is this an old 0-exe throw?
    [6][2][P][G] - ground attack followup is guaranteed/possible.
    [4][P][G] - about 40 pts.
    [6][4][P][G] - possible/guaranteed ground attack.
    [6][3][2][1][4][P][G] - a hcb+P+G throw, does about 65 damage.

    low throws:
    [3][P][K][G] - a low throw, "retreat front choke" .. a sleeper?
    [2][P][K][G] - a no-damage low throw, goes to a grip state (hold).

Note that a lot of stuff goes to a grip state. I wonder if this means all moves/throws described this way go to the same set of followups. If so, that's a nifty concept, being able to do a catch as a low throw.

    From a catch/grip state -
The note says that if you manage to do two successful followups to the catch, the damage is high.

[8] or [2] or [4] or [6] - move to a new position near (all around?) the opponent, and they are 'broken down' i.e. forced into partial submission. I think. Am I reading this right? it's like wolf's catch --> change, except you can move to either side of the opponent as well as to their back?
    Damage is not mentioned.

after [8] or [2] or [4] or [6] , another [8] or [2] or [4] or [6] - "the partner is furthermore destroyed" ... forced further into submission, or actually taking damage, or just setting up for more damage when the goh player finally gets around to pressing P+G?

    ---[6][P][G] - catch followup, about 50 pts.
---[6][6][P][G] - ditto, about 60 points. Translation for this move's name invariably comes up as "large imported/foreign car" /versus/images/icons/tongue.gif
    ---[6][4][P][G] - another followup.
---[6][2][P][G] - another followup, small damage (only 20 pts) but free ground attack.
    ---[6][8][P][G] - similar to above, 20pts + ground attack.
    ---[4][P][G] - ~45 pts, akin to aoi's d/b+P+G throw.
    ---[4][6][P][G] - another followup.
    ---[4][4][P][G] - damaging 60 pt. followup.
---[4][8][P][G] and [4][2][P][G] - more 20pts + ground attack stuff, has same name as the similar throws mentioned earlier, so maybe this is the same move/animation, but with a different execution (and therefore different escape?)
    ---[2][6][P][G] - ~50 pts.
    ---[2][2][P][G] - another followup.
    ---[2][8][P][G] and [8][P][G] - ahhhh!@!/1! more 20 pts + ground throw.
    ---[8][4][P][G] - ~50 pts.
    ---[8][2][P][G] - 20 pts blah
    ---[8][8][P][G] - another followup.

dodge attack: same as jacky and vanessa. zzz.
down attacks: ground punch and pounce are the same as akira's, zzz.
[3][P][G] - yaay it's a ground throw. BOO it can be escaped.

    The final section lists sabakis.
    [4][6][K] eats mid kicks.
[P][K] eats mid punches and elbows.
    [4][6][P][K] eats knees
    [4][3][P][K] eats low punches.

    That's it for now.
