VF5 Wall Pressure

    I created this video in response to Jerky's Wall Setups thread.

    I apologise for the lack of direct feed video (still working on that), and if there's not enough time to read some of the slides. Hopefully the message gets across just the same.

    While the video guide is shown with Jacky using specific attacks, setups and combos, the concepts equally apply to all characters.

    3:39 yeah there was a few mistakes.

    I noticed you didn't start ending combos with [6][6][K]. Until the advanced stuff I'm assuming that your combos did slightly more damage. I would test but my 360 isn't here anymore ;p

    Also after [3][K]+[G] can the opponent tech after that before the down attack?

    Nice vid Myke, I noticed the combo bar reset on one combo no idea if it was still guaranteed or not.

    The combo at 3:39 is actually OK. After the Blind Back Knuckle Jacky is at +15f, and the Head Hook Kick executes in 15f so it's guaranteed. I just think is one of the bugs with the health meter whenever the exe time exactly equals the advantage.

    Yeah, I wasn't too concerned with always using the absolute best down attack. I was even lazy with forgetting to turn on fall recovery for some of the combos, but I don't think it detracts from the message. The combos were by no means meant to be exhaustive.

    I assume you mean after the [3][3][P][+][G]? If so, then yes, you can tech but see reply to previous point above.

    Good eye, but yes it was still guaranteed (see reply to Jide above).

    Also, after the [1][P] Side Wall Hit, I found that both [3][K][+][G] and [3][3][K] (fastest input) were both guaranteed, but it didn't register as a "combo". Only [P][P][8][P] did.

    OK, nobody's spotted the error yet so I'll give some clues -- it has nothing to do with whether a combo:

    - can be struggled
    - is reset, or
    - can be tech'd to avoid a ground attack.

    Nice vid.. Im not up to carefully examining it right now...I havent woken up yet. I wish we could get similar videos done for all characters. And vids depicting the basics too.

    Great video! Really enjoyed all those little setups and the way you set up those wallhits out of staggers, very helpful!

    I'll try to do one for Lau and Blaze [​IMG] . I'll have to capture video with my camera, but I guess that'll be fine.

    Thanks for the video, it was good to see such high damage options (and many of them) against a wall.

    1 Thing I've noted regarding wall hits though is that they occur on every other hit. Meaning if you have the opponent against a wall and you jab them but they don't get wall hit, the next hit will surely wall hit and if they do get wall hit by a move then you know for certain that the next hit will not create wall hit.

    Theres maybe a suppression period after a wall hit has occurred before another wall hit can occur?

    Thanks for the video. Never knew how to set up wall hits like that before.

    Just found this on Youtube. Not sure where to put it but this thread looked like a good place. It's not really useful but funny more than anything else. And I thought the 4 X low kick in VF4 Ver. A was bad....
