    For those of you who don't know. Yu suzuki was one of the first developers who started the Virtua Fighter series. Without him, Virtua Fighter wouldn't exist as it is today. He use to work with Sega/AM2 to develop Virtua fighter, and other games, but he left Sega/AM2, and now he has started his own company called YS NET. He started a Kick-Starter campaign for Shenmue 3, and needs our help to fully complete the game. Shenmue is basically a Virtua Fighter game in a adventure game play style.

    Yu Suzuke is the mang, you dig? He design the Afterburner, the Space Harrier and the Outrun, mang.

    Shenmue was basically Virtua Fighter RPG.

    I don't think they had any characters that fought like Jacky. They had some character reminiscent of Lion, Lau and Jeffry though.

    I don't remember a character who fought like Lion but Ryu got some Mantis moves. Sarah Jeffrey and Wolf were basically in the game as opponents in underground fights in Shenmue 2. Then you fought someone with Lau's style.

    If you finished the lau guy with the Mantis throw you got a sick special little cutscene.

    I think some of Chai's moves were reminiscent of Lion. But maybe I'm wrong on that one.

    I would like to see him do another VF or at least work with the new team.
    I would love to see another version.

    Not quite accurate, the $47m was including development of the game on Saturn (Project Berkley), then Shenmue 1 & most of 2 and part of 3 on Dreamcast.

    Not to mention the shit they were doing was some techno-wizardry and crazy expensive for the sort of stuff you expected in the late nineties. It's wouldn't be the same today.

    Sega won't drop the VF IP to Yu Suzuki to kickstart. Nor will they pursue a Kickstarter for the game at this point.

    Nope. Ryu was essentially Akira, and Shenmue was a open-world RPG.

    And if you don't know who Yu Suzuki is, you better start doing some googling.

    I don't see what Street Fighter Ryu has to do with a VF RPG.

    Akira is nothing like Ryu. Ryu throws fireballs and Akira throws elbows. I'm calling bullshit.

    Also Also is Yu Suzuki like some kind of car? Like Toyata or a Honda?
