wall hit combo question & a giant swing observatio

Does anything combo after the wall hit caused by Wolf's P+G throw
    or after f+P+G > df+P+G?
It looks like Wolf's opponent is vulnerable, but I can't find
    anything that connects.

Also, Flash King gave me good advice on how to get the 100pt quickest
input giant swing. He said to do the half circle forward after a
forward dash. This did help, but what really did it for me, was
noticing in training that you don't need to hit the diagonals
to get credit for the half circle motion. You can do the giant
swing (and I'm guessing all half circle motions) by only entering
b,d,f+P+G. Realizing that the diagonals weren't needed let me
"flatten out" the joystick motion, which made it quicker because it
is traveling a shorter arc/distance, which is easier to do fast.

I hope this helps anyone having difficulty doing Wolf's quickest
input giant swing like I did a few weeks ago. "Yeah!!!"

Nothing is guaranteed after P+G > wallhit

Messin' around a bit more with Wolf lately and I've found I accidently get the quickest entry giant swing about a third of the time when I'm trying to do the b,df+P+G throw... not a bad thing IMO.

I think shang taught me once that you can get fastest input best if you go back to down back then jerk the stick literally to forward and P+G as fast as you can. It seems to work for me in EVO, but I don't play enough Wolf in VF5 to say it's true.

    P+G ~ wall = choice game

    f+p+g~ df+P+G (distance)--> ff+p+k (wall stun) P,K ~ reverse hammer (or uf+p+k~ knee)

in VF4, f+p+g~ df+P+G against the wall could garantee P,K~ try it in VF5.

    PGS ~~ you'll find a way eventually, it's a simple command.

With the correct distance from the wall, /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif against the wall can guarantee followups such as the toekick stunner.

wolf didn't have max input GS in evo...

max input gs can be achieved easier when u input a forward dash before u gs.

I'm pretty sure he did, 60-80 for slow execution and 80-100 for fastest. I'm pretty sure it's an old thing with wolf.

It seems that the further you and the opponent are from the wall during P+G, the more disadvantage the opponent has when he/she hits the wall... P+G (wall hit) toe kick-stunner is like 103dmg!

Distance is certainly the key, and this applies to all characters who have similar throws.

Check out the "Take That!" wall combo Wolf does at the end of this match. Ouch!

    key is throw animation.

the reason why it's not able to work up close is because the opponent hit the wall while wolf is in recovery back to neutral stance.

at longer distance wolf finishes animation before or just intime when opp hits wall to make another move garanteed,

    same applied to db+p+g

EDIT: i think that P+G combo in the vid wasnt garanteed~

I don't think it is either. I think the guy was just a bad struggler and throw escaper for the most part. The Wolf player seemed to get away with a lot. (This coming from a guy who also loves to use the knockdown/pickups)

    I beg to differ!

When I was in SoCal, Chief_Flash and I were testing Wolf's /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif followups after a Wall Hit. We found that with the right distance, the Toe Kick stunner was guaranteed. That is, you could not guard against the Toe Kick which executes in 17 frames.

It just so happens that the Regret Discharge /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif is also a 17f attack, so by logic you could conclude that it is also guaranteed given the right distance.

Also, with the /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif against the wall, it produces a Wall Hit which you cannot struggle from. Wall Staggers are a different story (i.e. you can struggle from them).

So in the case of that video, I don't think it was a case of a bad struggler (because you can't struggle out of it), and simply a case of getting the correct distance from the throw to guarantee the followup.

*Another voice agreeing with the fact TKS works after /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif wall hit*

    Correct distance:

Go to dojo, and get Wolf on the outer edge of the blue perimeter line, press /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif and then /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif(hit)/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif.

It works, the Goh in that video couldn't do anything to avoid that fate, it works, and holy shit it works.

the only statement i made was ~"i think in that vid, the followup wasnt garanteed", ~ if sebo tested (hopefully with the same distance) then fair say to him~

upclose, the P+G is a choice game -- (which it cant be if it was struggleable), and in many cases, i have sucessfully attacked because the opp cant fuzzy to block it.

best way to test a garanteed hit is to use B+p after the wall hit and check if the opp can duck it, but it's hard to believe that it's as easy as that to get a garanteed 17 frame window, unless the throw proporties has changed dramatically since VF4. - and that would be a different story.

    sorry, i wish i had VF5 to test, but i dont~

No need to be so defensive! Nobody is calling you out, just sharing information that you and some others may not know.

    <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">upclose, the P+G is a choice game -- (which it cant be if it was struggleable)</div></div>
Why not (if it was struggleable)? If you still have the advantage, you can still force a guessing game.

<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">best way to test a garanteed hit is to use B+p after the wall hit and check if the opp can duck it</div></div>
Why is that the best way? I think the way we tested it, by simply holding /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif, was not only a definitive test, but also better! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif Are you still not convinced?

<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">but it's hard to believe that it's as easy as that to get a garanteed 17 frame window, unless the throw proporties has changed dramatically since VF4. - and that would be a different story.</div></div>
Nobody is saying it's easy. I think this is balanced out by the fact that you need near perfect spacing from the wall to ensure that a 17f attack is guaranteed.

    <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">sorry, i wish i had VF5 to test, but i dont~ </div></div>
Don't sweat it, we've done the testing for you! Case closed! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

p.s. If I come across as kind of confronting, then I have to admit it's on purpose. I can't help but feel that you won't accept our findings until you yourself have verified it, and that comes across as somewhat snobbish. If I've totally misread you, then I apologise!
