What VF music do you listen to while you lose?

Though it's a relatively small thing, I love that FS has the option of playing the tracks from past VF games. It's nice to look back and see how the music has changed over the years, especially for people who may have missed out (though, in my opinion, even FS has that 'AM2 sound' I can't really describe).

What music do you listen to while you beat and get beaten across the globe? I stick with VF2 because I still love the music, particularly Wolf's, Kage's, and Jeffry's themes.

 

I'd like the option to choose what stage I want to play which theme. While I like Aoi's VF5:R theme I prefer Lion's VF5FS theme. So for me it's a mixture of both. Sarah's VF5:R theme is amazing to.

 

This is my #1 request to be in a possible patch. As it stands now I have to change BGM often to suit my mood.

 

Agreed, though I'm not sure how one would going about raising the request to Sega, outside of a twitter message.

 

It's kinda unforgivable that such an option was left out being as that Soulcalibur 5 literally just did this 6 months ago.

Also, where's the superior Sega Saturn Arranged VF2 soundtrack? VF4 Evo music? (Even when set to "VF4", Brad's and Goh's stages play their VF5 version rather than VF4Evo) Did Final Tuned have any different songs? Any difference between VF3 and VF3TB? And didn't VF1Remix on Saturn get a remixed soundtrack? Also just for extra nostalgia, throw in the VF2 Genesis soundtrack. Wasn't there a Game Gear version of VF2 as well?

 

VF 4FT didn't have any new music if my memory serves me correctly. just the Evo soundtrack.

I switch Back and forth Between 2, 3 and FS

 

R frenetic pace makes the game a rush.

 

I think having a special picked song per stage might be a little much.

Having the whole VF 1-FS sound track play randomly would be coo. That seems more feasable. I don't know though, I aint too tech savy.

But I switch between R, 3,4 and FS. I haven't even tried 1 yet.

I have yet to listen thru all of them, but I guess I prefer VF2.
Id prefer all of them at the same time but I guess there is no such option.

Enjoying VFR now (Sarah's theme is great), but will set it to VF2 for a while...nostalgia

 

I was playing with VF3 music until yesterday. Mainly because of Pai, Sarah, Aoi and Dural stages. Now I think I have VF5 vanilla.

 

once I noticed you could listen to past VF music I switched it to vf2. I would like the option to pick the tracks for the stages individually.

 

Much like the TC I too am quite fond of the VF2 themes. Sarah's, Akira's, Jeffry's, and Kage's themes are some of my all time favorites. On top of that they are the most memorable to me. I have to admit that I didn't get to hear the themes of the following VFs all that much. Looks like I'm gonna have to hit up Youtube to catch up!

 

It would not be any trouble at all to add such a feature. It'd be no more code than anything else in the options. A simple value (1-7) is stored in the save file for each stage, and that value is called when the stage is selected to determine what song should be played.

I swear I don't remember that but I'll take your word for it. What stage/music did they get?

I really should check out VF3's but if I play with game music on it's almost always VF2. Can't help it. Combination of genuinely thinking most are good songs paired with nostalgia.

 

So I just tried the VF1 music for the first time, and that one is by far my favorite. I didn't think i'd like it for some reason, but every one of them (stage that has a VF1 track) has been really good.

Brad's VF5 one is so annoying to me. His stage is awesome, one of my fave's cause of the glass walls. But that music...I don't really remember if it randomizes the stage music for the non VF1 stages.

 

i love wolf's FS theme! and i believe his VF3 theme is very soothing!

 

Since I didn't really get to play 3, anything from that soundtrack is usually playing.
