I wanted to start a topic on who everyones favourite Japanese player, charcter specific and/or inspiration for playing VFand why.

My inspiration would have to be Joji Suzuki for the very comprehensive VF2 guide for Akira. It helped put the game in perspective and what he has written has helped me apply myself to all characters.

My favourite Japanese player would have to be Oshu Akira, i think i can relate to him the most (were both mad /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif)

My character specific inspiration would have to be Anii Sarah as i think he is considered to be the best Sarah player in Japan although i havent seen much play by him /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif

My favourite Japanese player WAS Muki-Akira, I love his play style and precise execution.....

Then I saw him get p\/\/n333D on Beat Tribe by Oshu - the way Oshu carried on during the match was pure ghetto! /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif I can relate to that brer the most, he gives it the large when he wins and nobody can withstand the destructive force of his smirk! /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif

My all time favorite player is Chibita. Little guy using a character that's considered weak (or at least not top-notch like Akira) kicking everyone's ass.

My favorite character-specific player would be Arashi. I actually call my character "Arashi no Goh" in reference to him (and one of my favorite manga, "Hikaru no Go"). I think he's pretty amazing in that he can make a fairly slow and clunky character (to me) move so smoothly. When he's on top of his game, he mixes up his strikes and throws so well that the opponent gets beat and tossed around like a leaf in a storm.

nobody's wolf is the same,.... every time i see him play i see something completely surprizing.

(P+K charged ~ uf+p ~ SS ~ low P ~ knee / b+p ~ ground throw is the funniest thing i have ever seen even tho it has two chances of TRing on the second variation.)

Yeah BunBun was the man who inspired me when I was first getting into VF with Wolf, hearing all them old VF2 stories. Also gotta give repect to Oshu Akira, his style is heavyweight, along with the hair man!!

My inspartion is Minami Akira. He is fast, smooth, strong, and different from all the other Akira players.
    Minami step=The finest.

mines is still gonna be KASHIWA JEFFRY. If only some of you newbies could have seen this guy in action. His play style is sort of like bun-bun maru, only he uses jeff. Every round is never the same! And like Arashi, he moves his jeffry around with such precision and speed, it's maddening. Sometimes I would look at some of his clips and say to myself, "jeffry can't move that fast!" or "that's pure genius!" Kashiwa no longer plays vf, he quit during the middle of vf3. According to kyasao, he is working as a male escort, or something along the line. hehe the ladies better watch out. I wish him the best, because he is the very reason I decided to persue learning VF. I pray that one day he will make a return.
So now that he is gone, I guess I have to give props to Ohsu for being a mad man, PK_akira for precision and good mix up of all akira's moves, and chibitarou. I mean fuck the kid is under 10 and is way stronger than probably anyone that post on this board. So you gotta give the youngster some credit.

my vote goes for itabashi zangi. the guys plays one of the smartest shuns i have ever seen--and shun is not even his (mathematically) strongest character. he has cards for ALL the characters in evo, and his lowest character is tuwamono. holy shit huh!

and oh yeah, he has over 100,000 Gold on Vf.net. that is fuckin unreal. /versus/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Kashin, Kurita, Tokyo Megane, Shivanessa, Ohsu, and Devivru.

Homestay is also admirable because he owns everything he does even outside of VF (his DoDonPachi play still BLOWS MY MIND), and I will always love Heruru because you can't keep the FV2 crew down. ^-^

Tokyo Megane, Kofu Megane, Arashi, and Chibita.

I haven't been able to see enough matches recently, though. I just can't get the AM2 media to work /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif. I want to see some really good Wolf and Jeffry players in action.

For me its DongPal Akira, awesome every time I see him. Very aggressive but with a rock solid defense. Others include Minami, Ohsu and Mukki Akiras as well as Arashi with his Goh. Also Herurus Lei Fei is superb to watch...even if he doesn't win you can see hes still having a blast playing him. /versus/images/graemlins/cool.gif
