Yu Suzuki's new Shenmue game

Its a mobile phone game, there is nothing to get excited about -_-

 

meh, if you'd said that years ago I'd have agreed but mobile phones are not what they used to be. Also, being able to play your game when and where you want has a certain appeal.

I've never played Shen Mue. like, ever, but I still thought that was pretty cool.

 

Sounds like what most people say about VF... Matter o' fact, I think that's what most people say verbatim...

Anyway, it came out on the old xbox back in the day, and they released demos of it in several games I believe... Anyone remember if Shenmue was backwards compatable on the 360???

 

I guess. I play two games. VF and Guitar Hero. I actively dislike spending time/money on videogames so I almost never even *try* most games.

People dig on Shen Mue and there's a new version coming out. I think that's pretty cool.

 

The way I see it, new ShenMue news is still something to be at least somewhat excited about... I hope the buzz is big enough for a new release... A mmo version would be kinda cool imo, but I don't think it would be well accepted...

 

Glad to hear this. I hope this actually follows through and gets published, unlike Shenmue Online. I was the biggest Shenmue nut back in the day, bought Shenmue 1 and 2 Us DC Version Japanese DC version and the Euro DC version of SM2.
Of course as a completionist I had to get the Xbox version of SM2 for the guilty pleasure of that terrible English dub's unintentional comedic value.
I'm more excited that Yu Suzuki himself is involved in this project, they finally defrosted him from the carbonite cell he's been in all these years.

 

Any new game material from Yu Suzuki is a good thing in my opinion.

Yu, Mikamia, Naka, Ifune, and Suda needs to make a company.

 

Myke, was there ever a Shenmue section of this site? Back in early 2000, I originally found VFDC when visiting sites dedicated to Shenmue.
