    Best Game of 2008:

-Fallout 3: This game took me away from VF5. I'm only 60+hours into it and still have barely touched the main quest. I love this game...I think I'm going to cry.

(Runner-up)Burnout Paradise:The only other game that took me away from VF5. The sense of speed and scale in this game are amazing. The DLC is great and FREE and trying to keep the world record for an individual street is addicting as hell! Great game!

    Most Dissapointing Game of 2008:

-Midnight Club LA: It's one of the few(3) games I bought this year, so it didn't stand a chance. Took it back after two days.

(Runner-up)Mirrors Edge: I played the demo like a fiend and bought the game the day it came out. I love so many things about this game....but it just doesn't draw me back in after beating it a few times. This is actually a good game...I just hate that I don't love this game more.

You know Cuz your right. I taught I was the only one who didn’t like GTA. I mean the graphics and game play is alright but after a while I got stale. It needed more debt. For me Niko was a bitch, he was told what to do and he did it. Then later he killed the person who told him top do it. I played it for a few days and got rid of it.

Best game of 2008? Metal Gear Solid 4, hands down. It was the single greatest video game experience of my life (excluding VF, of course).
Though LittleBigPlanet was a close second!

Most dissappointing game for me was a tie between Rainbow Six Vegas 2 and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. RSV2 was basically an expansion pack for the first game, but they didn't even bother to fix the glitches and balance issues. Waste.

Force Unleashed was just crap. For as much potential as the game showed, the end product didn't even feel like a triple-A title. Felt like crapware; which is conclusive with most games based on movies.

But seriously. This "Starkiller" is supposed to be more powerful than Vader, but he's gettin his ass kicked by some Jawas in the 3rd level? WTF?!?

It's not a bad game, it's actually alot of fun. Just disappointing in comparison to Left 4 Dead and Fallout 3, as examples.

Yeah that makes sense, a lot of people out there seem to really dislike 4 compared to the other GTA games. I thought that's what you guys where getting at lulz.

nah GTA4 is the best in the series...After GTA3 I never cared for the others really. ctually GTA3 is the only one I ever completed. One thing I like about GTA4 is you get your moneys worth. The game is looong and packed with extras. Multi is also fun! For me the game type (sand box)is not for me. I prefer a str8 path like MGS4 or Devil May Cry 4...but GTA4 is a great game....justnot for me....the shooting was much improved this time around too

All of the games I've played this year have been good, even the 2 I put on the disappointing side. Those games were just the ones I liked the least. Smash Bros. Brawl is a let down in retrospect, I only played the game for the first 2 weeks it was out, haven't played it since.

I don't dislike it at all. I was just hoping for more. It seems like if you're not doing the main story, you're not doing much. Also the Tamachi aspect of the game drove me fuckin' nutters.

I actually stopped playing GTA4. I loved the game, but it got tedious. I do not mind difficulty. In fact, I think that games are too easy these days (Give me Ninja Gaiden and Bionic COmmando from the NES!). But I HATE when I die and have to go through a whole rigmarole just to retry the mission. It is so obvious that players should be allowed to save anywhere, or at least right before a mission. Having to drive around five minutes before retrying a mission in this day and age is just stupid. What was the budget for that game again? How many designers and QA guys did they have? WTF?

Dead Space and Fallout 3 are awesome. Haven't played Valkyria yet.

I never used the retry feature in GTA4. What happens when you do that?

Only a few mentions of Dead Space? That game was awesome. Best new series to come out this year IMO. Well that and Army of Two. Co-op on that game is probably the best I've ever played, even better then the Gears of Wars, Halos, and Rainbow Six's.

But Fallout 3 gets my game of the year award. I rarely play games for hours on end but I managed to put in around 60+ hours into that game.

Didn't really play any bad games although I never finished Kane and Lynch, Mercs 2, or the new Prince of Persia so those were the worst I played.

No go on the retry in GTA4. You lose body armor. Big Hassle.

    My Game of the Year:

No question the World Ends With You.

Dissapointment is kind of hard, since I am never really dissapointed in games I buy, and I can even play pretty bad ones in the right mindset to have fun.

Worst game would be Prince Of Persia. It should have continued the legacy of Warrior Within and The Two Thrones.

except those were the two worst prince of persia games, especially warrior within. Prince of persia was nice.
