3 must have games for November

I second Fallout 3!!! Truly a must play game... VERY freaking cool!

I enjoyed Fable 2 very much as well...

IMHO, G.R.I.D. is a really good racing game, if you're into those.

As good as these games are, there will always be a giant hole without VF5R... I'm starting to get scared we won't see it... /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

1. Armored Core: For Answer - I'm a longtime fan of the series, and while AC4 wasn't perfect, it was highly enjoyable at times. However the series is so niche in the west that I doubted that we'd get the latest release; For Answer, which from what I've heard is a much better game. I'm so grateful to Ubisoft for seeing that there is a market for these types of games.

2. Last Remnant - My latest RPG/JRPG fix. Infinite Undiscovery was a real disapointment and Fable 2 isn't the "second comming" Molyneux hyped it up to be (far from it, actually). Mass Effect and Lost Odyssey have kept me sweet for some time but now I need something new. I really should rent Fallout 3 though, I've heard good things about it.

3. Mirror's Edge - Played the demo, pre-ordered the game. It's that simple.

 

Yea what up dawgs, just finished up Tomb Raider underworld...don’t know what the big fuss is about (some low reviews), the games pretty damn good. And I hated TR games back in the day’s b4 Eidos made um, but this 1s pretty decent. Nice graphics, actually this came as a surprise to me. I wasn’t expecting it to look his good. Esp. Lara (duh) she looks more real and proportioned. Story also wasn’t bad, and the platforming was good. Good puzzles too. I think for the next installment they need to add a cover system, when fighting against human’s game felt old as hell with out it. Esp with Drake already haven this feature. Drake forced Lara to up her game doe and she did. Not as well polished as Drake but still fun. Looking forward for DLC.

I was unsurprisingly dissapointed with mirror's edge.

The last Remnant is pretty good. I'm still at the start so I've been able to win most battles thus far by simply pressing 'A' over and over again. Except for when I have fought a rare monster. Most notably the big Moltres looking bird in Blackdale.

MK VS DCU is pretty fun but (shock horror) it's put together terribly: I can't input proper directions on the thumbstick as it is far to sensitive and you are incapable of moving in three dimensions on the D-Pad. Which has forced me to play switching between the both of them like a mad man.

 

Definately Fallout3..... best game I've played in a long time

Left4Dead (is alot of fun online,does get old after a while tho,despite the AI director)

the new Prince of Persia will be good.

Gears of War 2 = total awesomeness

Some lil cover issues and a stupid story buuut game play is sweet! Never got tired of blowing someone’s head off with a sniper rifle....its gears of war 1 on steroids...instead of same pin down shoot outs over and over, this time around every shoot out feels unique and is action packed. Lots of new cool enemies, some that runs up guns blazing instead of playing that pin down shit. Action involves flying, driving and kicking ass even on a Brumak!...game is just sick! Strongly advise playing it the 1st time on hardcore....last longer and fights are intense! Link up with a friend if possible but solo is still just as nice. Is it just me or isn’t it weird how Don just chills out during boss battles? Esp. against the giant octopus...he doesn’t even shot at it. Besides small flaws doe, the game is worth the purchase.

Personally I think the story was a bit better in this one, felt like we were actually working towards a major goal more so than gears 1 anyway. Or I just need to go play it again /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

i'm honestly not trying to be cute, but the only "must have" game in my library is VF5. It just blows away everything else.

I am having fun with Gears2 multi player, but man, it gets old that the non-firing side is the more lethal end of every gun, lol.

 

I didn't even notice there was a story, haha. Good game though, also i'm enjoying Fallout 3 and Tomb Raider Underworld at the moment.

I didn't think i'd enjoy Fallout 3 but I picked it up cheap and it's prety damn good. New Tomb Raider is good stuff too, broken camera lets it down though /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

Broken camera? You mean like when you're hanging onto ledges? You should be able fix it by moving it around, other than that, you can default the camera in front of Lara by pushing in the right stick.

Yes that and the fact the camera just constantly goes mad all the time. You can sort it by centering the camera like you said but it just carries on going mad on me. The game is good so i'm willing to put up with it but it's definitely broken, reminds me of the Sonic Adventure games but even it's even worse than that.

 

U know Beligerent Feck I actually didn’t have an issue with the camera. I guess am a custom to it in Tomb Raider by now. Gave up playing Resistance 2 doe. Game just doesn’t interest me at all. Wish I could take it back to the store.

 

I've never really had any camera issues with the game, but my standard for that is probably not the same as yours. What I call broken camera = Ninja Gaiden.

And games were the camera gets way too close and you cant adjust it. If things like that ever come up in Tomb Raider it's not an issue for me when playing because the pace of the game is different, whereas for Ninja Gaiden you end up losing.

 

Fixed. There is no game with a worse camera than Dino Crisis 3.
