Any Marvel or AE players here?

Is Skullgirls still active online? I've thought about picking up that and DSR next week.

On-topic, I never really had a problem with AE's netcode, just some of the spammy playstyles online that drove me nuts, and away from the game. I don't care at all for Marvel, gameplay wise.

Battle Fantasia was mildy amusing, but when I played it(I *think* it was a free d/l from PS+, which I don't have anymore) there wasn't many people playing. I wouldn't recommend that one unless you had people lined up to play already.

How is SC5/P4A online, population wise? I've considered both of those from time to time.

SC5 have a good netcode only the typical spammy styles but its good game and of course a good comunity online

 

It's like as soon as the netcode finally picks up on these games, everyone starts going wireless

I have AE, 3s and HDR on there, but honestly, after finally seeing VF pick up steam, it's hard to go back to those simple-minded routines and fantastical characters endemic within the six button scene. Just five minutes into playing one of those games above recently, for the first time in ages, I was getting voice messages laced with hatred. Capcom games today, and the way they largely play out online, seem to have become a magnet for the absolute dregs of the subculture.

Retired SFIV player. VF has is ups and downs but still has the best netcode of any FG i've played online.
Now only if we could get that SCV netcode

SG is GODLIKE, used GGPO only problem is the player base is smaller than SF or marvel

 

He's playing VF so I don't think that's a deterrent, lol.

Ha ha! Probably best. I don't know why you would consider trying to play some crappy 2D fighting game anyway. I just don't get how the whole 2D thing came back . Well I guess people are enjoying it so whatever...

 

SG has even less. I don't count online as a scene...

 

Like people said, Persona 4 Arena and SCV have godlike netcodes (but not on VF level), dunno about the quality of players on both games though, I only play Persona online with US against friends that I know that uses wired or that have a good connection against me and SCV usually has a lot of players that don't know how to play and that loses to 5AA and 5BB spam.
