BTW, anyone play Tekken 5 or SF 3rd Strike? I just started to get into tekken again, its fun.

 

Ok, I've got spring break coming up and I was wondering if anyone here is free. I want to have a VF session with some people. Now if anyone is interested just post SOMETHING. Also I should mention that my stick is broke and so I am looking to get a new one. Right now I am playing with pad and might I add that I am surprisingly good at it. But if you guys can recommend some stores or places where I can get a good stick in the Chicagoland area, please say something by all means. Right now I am desperated so I will even consider pelicans. I would have gotten an Evo stick from Hori, but the place that was carrying them had sold all of them and were out of stock. Well anyways, just say something if you guys want to come and have a VF session. /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Oh, my break starts on Thurs so I will be free starting well today I guess. And as for a stick right now I will just go out and buy the first stick I can that is capable of general play. Well just give me a call and I will see what the situation is and maybe we'll have a quick match.

 

Hey, you wanna buy my T5 Hori stick from me, I'll take 50 bucks for it! I only used it once. Its brand new, the stick is good, but I thought it was an actual RAP and its not. How about friday night, but if someone can give me a lift that would be great.

 

Hey sure no problem. Also as for a lift see if you can get one from Madrox. My car is messed up also. I need $1000 to fix the transmission. Plus about 700 more to fix the driver side door so I won't be doing much driving anytime soon. I'm stuck right now using public transportation or getting a ride from a friend. But as for a session we might have one today on the 24th. But I am most certain that on Fri we will most likely get a session.

And as for your stick, can you post a pic or bring the stick with you at the meet. I would really apreciate it since I like to test my sticks out. I want to see how it handles. I am actually saving up to get a stick that is like $90, but if you stick is good enough it will save me $40.

 

As you can see this thing is a huge, and as big as an RAP but its not. It doesnt have any sanwa parts, just Hori parts. Thats why Im not asking for much. Plus that is brand new, I've only used it once when I first got it. Right now Im sticking to my SC2 stick, Im selling this one because its not an official RAP. Are we talking about Fri or Sat here? I mean I am up for it. It's not that late. Problem is that I don't want to stay too late because I have to go to work around noon the next day. I could stay up until 11-12 pm.

I guess this weekend is going to be a bust. I couldnt make it today, after work I was with the lady, and saturday Im gonna be working then later with some friends. Lets try to plan something for next week or next weekend?

Hey guys, I just recently went to the HIP to check it out. I know the manager that works there. No VF but lots of T5 competition. I got my ass handed to me, because I only play Tekken casually. There is alot of competition here, not just in T5, but also in SC2 ect.

 

You go to the HIP too? Nice to know that a fellow vf'er goes to the same place I go to. You are right that there aren't any vf machines there, BUT, I dare say that I have been playing T5 myself. I had major doubts at first, but my friend made me play it, AND get this, I, a noob at T5, whooped his ass LOL. So then what I did was go and rent it and play it at home. So far I have been playing with Jin mostly. But anyway, getting back to the point, if you or anyone else in Chi-town wants to get together at the HIP and play some T5 or SC2 or SF, then just make a post here or pm and I will see you there on the weekend. And maybe after that we could play some vf at home. So if any of you from VFDC members from Chicago are free then let's go.

 

Yeah, I had doubts playing this game after T4, but I gave it a shot and I actually enjoy playing this one. Its as much fun as TTT. They have a nice setup at the hip, but its too bad that its not an astro city setup, I really dont like playing on the same side as my comp, gets kinda cramped. I think they had a different T5 when they first had it. I think it was the test version. I remember that the buttons were on an angle, and it had happ joysticks, not the ones that are on there now. I sometimes go there on fridays with my friend. I'll let you know if we are going this friday.
