Arcadia 147 Article - defensive techniques @ home

bumping this thread cuz I had to really dig hard to find it agian and it's very good .

 

I'm finally at a point with my hitbox that I can pull this off consistently. Now to make it fluid like breathing and add in the attack (aka. 9K muhfuka) option select on successful evade and applying pressure if there is a delayed mid. Along with dealing with other throw directions like 4P+G.

This video is how I'm planning on redesigning my use of the infamous 9K. I'm going to need to strengthen my fingers so I can pull off this techinque. This was impossible for me to practice on my joystick but now I can totally do this for an hour straight.

You need a hitbox, I can go from any direction to any other in one frame.

 

I was working on some stuff in dojo defensively then I remembered this video and thought I'd dig it up. I did not think it was going to be so far deep in the dojo though. Glad it's getting some much needed attention again. It came out real early in the game so I feel like it was harder to understand how to use this.

 

Both Jacky and Brad have 19 frame low full circulars. Maybe that's why. I don't think that any other character has one.
