Yesterday I got 15 wins in a row, but casual play means nothing to me. I beat Dural 3 rounds to 0 on .50 cents. I didn't lose once to anyone. Are you making fun of me behind my back to Blonde_one? No long winded explainations please. Just a yes or a no. I've been ignoring all he's said.

Yeah, exactly, if you know the crouching lp is coming, dont you just defend low or something? If I tell someone im gonna punch them in the face, one would hope they don't try to block their stomach or chest..........unless they're like those guys who can't block crouching lp........then ya never know eh?

well you see. A crouching punch can be blocked low or high, but a crouching kick must be blocked low. There are also moves which have higher priority over a crouching punch or kick. An example would be Lau's d+p+k. Now if you fake high with a senbon, and go low with a punch odds are the punch will be blocked since it can be blocked from both high and low, but if you use a crouching kick instead more than likely the kick will hit and will open your opponent up for a follow up (with a throw: P+G) since the crouching kick staggers your opponent a little.

I usually execute the throw right when I execute the crouching punch. The punch throws yours opponents timing off. The best 3 case senerios I can think of right now that make a low punch so effective are A) you have to block high or low which can confuse lesser skilled players B) got hit by the punch and must escape the throw which is tricky because escaping throws is harder since you have to input the last directional motion that your opponent, who is throwing you, inputed for the throw to execute, plus defense and punch within 3 frames of the throw animation to be able to escape. An example would be Laus' B, F+D+P throw. You would escape this throw by pressing F+D+P within the first 3 frames of the throw animation. The Japanese can input 2 different throw escapes within the 3 frames of the throw animation. and last but not least C) saw it coming and countered which can be brutally ugly since if it was a Major counter hit then you're more than likely going to have to defend or wiggle on the stick to gain control of your character again or even pick you character off of the floor before more hits follow. It does happen. Try doing crouching punches against the computer and watch what they do. More cases than none they'll pop you up with a knee and do a combo.

Unc, very kickass Aoi. Your rushes are well mixed and difficult to defend as there seemed to be a number of crumbles, and staggers involved. Also, Killer combo!! You know the one I'm talking about.

What seriously makes the japanese faster and better at games? I think probably dedication. IMO.

 

Well they use much smaller movements with the controllers than we do. When they want to go right they don't move the controler all the way to the right, they move the controler far enough to the right to make the character move and then they use that as their meassure. That's all pretty much. Oh their joysticks are far more sensitive than the happs controls that we have to play on as well. So it gives them the ability to move and react much faster IMO. The double P+G button pressing still has me in AWE.
