No man, I wouldnt mind playing you yesterday. After you two started playing I wanted to try out a couple things that I appeared to be having trouble with(AS3, DLC, SPoD) and a couple possibilities with Lau (which proved useful). I did get to play Unc and his Aoi for a couple games. Do you think you can get up there tomorrow around noon or so?

You're playing Kage now Unc? That's pretty cool! I can give you some tips when I see you next, if you want.

 

The Count of Monte Cristo, it's actually pretty good, what I saw of it. Damn film burned and shredded on the projector like 3/4 of the way through. Suckethed badethed.

 

Shun, hmm don't really have many tips but keep on moving and he's best played sort of defensive. I just started playing Shun again myself after a 2 month Shun leave heh. OD? It's OverDose my tournament that I run about every 3 months. VF is going to be a part of it this time around. I don't know how smooth it will be because this is the first time I'm going to be running it without Rockys support.

Enk yeah, I do some kageness now /versus/images/icons/wink.gif I really, really suck at TFT combos and such, but he's actually very good at poking like a little whore. Fits my style /versus/images/icons/wink.gif I'm going to keep playing him for a bit, just for varieties sake though I'm getting back into Shun again. It's sad I don't have a shun mind set anymore.

 

Also, try using his Chouwan punch. It's a nice floater and it's hard to counter. Shun has a lot of nice poking attacks, such as his chouwan (qcf+P), low kick, and P. His mule kick (u+K) is a good alternative to the chouwan. And you'd want to make him drink as many times as possible. Try experimenting with his stances, like the handstand (HCB, or u+P+K), sitting (d+P+K), and lying down (HCF). Download a couple of Shun clips, there are quite a few at <a target="_blank" href=http://www.daioh.com>www.daioh.com</a> and the no mercy website (click <font color=white>links</font color=white> at the top of page to find the link.)

 

One of the problems I was having with Shun at first was his main move the Chouwan punch is marked as QCF+p,but actually if you do this command you'll lay down and get the crap kicked out of you. The actual input for the chouwan is d/f<f+p, don't input (d) unless you like laying on your side like they do in exercise vids. Which I never watch by the way.....LOL. I was all about shun until I found out to really own with him you've got to seriously drink and I'm not good enough at the game to incorperate this in an intense match right now. Drinking is the key! You may or may not want to spend the money with shun. Wait til you get it at home. Concentrate on Sarah.

 

Why I don't Understand UNC!!!

Lau is easy to win with is a popular opinion. In fact many think he IS the easiest character to play, while in fact Shun is difficult to play according to most people. Yeah, I've said it more than once but hey it's just my way of venting and I generally said this while playing Akira who is HELLA difficult for me at the moment. Okay maybe a couple times while playing shun but believe me I complain more out of my own pissyness with myself than anything else. I have a similar problem as Dwayne I generally play characters with close risk/reward ratios, Lau happens to have low risk/high reward similarly to Jacky in popular opinions. My frustration comes when I think I'm doing hella good to get reemed by a braindead float followed by ppp,d+k. Recently I've learned how to avoid some float situations with Lau and you in return have adopted another play style to counter my counter and that's what I like about VF. Although Lau may be easy in general to play, it's up to me to advance my gameplay to go beyond the "easy techniques".

If history serves me correctly you've been complaining from the start. Oh, and why don't you advance your gameplay? And not your character base. LOL

Your last paragraph is what I mean by cold. Hehe most of the places I've played at that had good competition is because people liked to play each other and did socialize to some extent. Whether you like it or not gaming is a social event. I'm not saying talk me out for a malt, just don't refuse to even look at me or acknowledge my prescence. WE'RE playing a game as in you and another person are playing together. It's not just you, but if all arcade people acted this way, then there be a lot less competitions and hardcore gamers.

Not only have you told us it's just all about YOU and your fun. not caring about anyone else's but you've taken up avoiding us too. We drive an hour to get to rocky's you could at least play us for god sake.

What if I said I don't think you can destroy me? And if you can, why don't you? Especially if my gameplay is tedious to you? Why you would continue to humor my unreal blah blah blah way of gameplay is beyond me.

What if I said your too chicken shit to play us now? And the reason why we don't destroy you is cause we still want you to play. On countless occasions you've made it clear that once we surpass you that you'll play a little bit then quit. You should really read your own words from the top. "It's not just all about us we're accomodating for you, why can't you stop being selfish and try some risky moves. Open up your arsenal and stop trying to play every character half ass, play one really well using all their moves. It's getting old and played out with you and enk not trying. Give us a break.

One thing about me is I have horrible reaction time. What low punch does for me, is shorten the options my opponent has against me. If he has no low throw or counter it's going to take something with the speed of an elbow or some d/f+p moves to knock me out of it easily. If they back up, I stand up. The last Lau versus Vanessa fight we had I used the low punch to bait the elbow, and kneed you in response to it followed by the choke. Now sometimes I just misjudge distance or do it at inappropriate times, but believe me, I do it for a reason.

You do know everytime you so call limit us with a lp every character can brutally punish a blocked lp with 15x the damage your attempted lp would cause on hit or MC. You sound stupid to me. =) The thing is you don't even lp accordingly we can just sit there and plan on a stupidly placed lp or two or follow lp with lk. =) It's very entertaining to watch your brain work.

 

Someone did research I see. Well I could do research on you complimenting me on my gameplay but I won't, because I could care less. Or maybe IMF saying I'm best around to play. If "you" were Blondie, I'm sure he wouldn't give a damn about playing me /versus/images/icons/wink.gif The fact is, I beat you all consecutively,(The_Dude being probably the only exception) whether I abuse the low punch or not. It's for me to decide, when to use it and when not too. Sure sometimes I get reemed for it, but so do you for doing your rather unsafe flashy moves. I'm not a flashy player, but I'm damn sure the most successful player here in Orlando for sucking as much as you two say I do.

I hope you can make up more excuses as to why you lose over 6 times in a row. You can use my posts as excuses for your losses. That works for those who don't know you, (almost convinced me even, but I do fit in the I don't know you category....I think your name is.....Blondie?) I don't consider someone losing and then cursing under their breath as a sign of "letting me win." Maybe that's the way you take a loss on purpose? By beating yourself up and cursing at my style of gameplay, it just seems a bit strange to me. Or maybe it's the 100 or so complaints complaining about my gameplay, and my tactics. If my tactics were so easy to beat I'm sure you wouldn't be complaining about shit. Hell I never see you complaining about the pony tail guy, and he's nothing but a poor copy of my style. Oh wait...I know why! You can beat him regularly, while you just lose to me....repeatedly even.

Btw you still didn't answer why you want someone who's boring to play against, that you can beat into the ground anytime you want to, to continue playing...and more importantly why do you give matches to someone such as I if I'm that boring and sucky a player? Plus you drive an hour to play a boring, sucky, player? This doesn't make sense, I can see giving someone one game, but 10, 15, 27? Let me know the reasons to your madness so i can dismiss you as a fool, wait...to late for that, I did that about 6 posts ago.

Btw, why shoud I feel obligated to play someone who apparently has a strong dislike for myself and my gameplay? Is it because you're words are supposed to goad me? Is it to defend some imaginary gaming "crown" that I proudly wear? Or maybe it's because "you" really do want to play me, win or lose to test your own skills and hypothesis on what may work against me? It's sort of you trying to prove your own self worth. You see, when it comes to me and what I want to do it's all about me really. I chose who I want to play, what I think is fun, where to spend my money, and when to spend it. I have no interest whatsoever in your quest for video game greatness. I think you feel neglected since I saw the two of you the other day and just left the arcade. Although I did amuse the idea of staying to play when IMF asked me if I was leaving...just for a moment I gave a damn. Believe me it had nothing to do with the two of you, I've been a regular at rockys for almost 4 years. Sometimes I come early and play a few games, sometimes I come late and stay till close, other times like today I come in just to chat with some freinds. IMF and The_Dude were there, I didn't play, and they didn't express any real interest in playing me. However for some reason you're taking it upon yourself to whine like a bitch. It's okay, I realize you are the more fragile of your group, bottom of the heep in my opinion in every game I've seen you three play in. No wonder you've got something to prove. Guess what, I don't.
