I surely voted for O' Course. Previous to playing VF4 I was and still am a huge tekken fan, but my argument to Tekken 4's system is no longer a huge matter.

People dealt with it and found ways to get around and hang in there with it, a sign that people get better, and with every installment to most any game, champions leave. Surely that happened with any VF game.

But with such a changes in tekken 4's dynamics, it was a push for them to retire even some more. Some couldn't grasp it and they've had their fill and wished to look onto other things. No blame in that.

But I don't knock Tekken 4 at all and most already know that, 2 to 1, Tekken w will sell more than VF4 did. Just do to its popularity.

darn Spin, well thanks for telling exactly what's wrong with the game... i look only for perfection, though i never go with out a positive side towards a negative. Although all the hardcore TK fans have gone straight to VF, i wonder if they're gonna go straight to SC2 when that comes out like most namco fans, or is VF4 just a temporary sub..

surprisingly, VF4 came out over here in the UK last friday (stupid late UK).. anywayz, it's also selling here like hot cakes!! i was gonna buy my copy yesterday, but it's all sold out.. what happened? i though the VF series meant total trash interms of popularity, especially in the UK!?

i guess the tekken audience is totally drying out... it's sad really, it was a great series.

I wouldn't say that its "totally" drying out cuz there are still plenty of people who play it(zaibatsu's tekken 4 forum is still full). I mean there are ways to get around stuff but its super hard and it takes alot of the fun out of playing because it becomes almost a job to fight somebody. I can take out some people who uses Jin's 1,2,3/1,2,4 crap with a well placed While Rising+2 with heihachi but i get tired of the repetitiveness. Like sayow mentioned before, you kinda have to wait for all the B.S. to end then try to counter. Where is the fun in that? NOWHERE, CUZ IT ISN'T FUN!

However alot of the other stuff is fun, like looking at all the new combo possibilities(some of Kazuya's new stuff is insane like his instand death combo), nailing just frame moves(pretty hard, hehe) and learning the new characters like Craig Marduk and the Boxer Steve Fox who i must say is ingenious on Namco's part because of the way he is controlled(his has no kicks, but his kick buttons make him sway in different directions), pretty innovative huh? If only they had worked all the bugs out of the game and made it more balanced then i wouldn't hesitate to call this game perfect but they got lazy.

I guess i'm one of the few tekken players around here because I imported tekken 4 from japan. Was thinkin about doin that for VF4, but decided to get Xonsaga instead.

That Lee combo that Raijin made looked real sweet but if you were on the recieving end then it wouldn't be sweet anymore. I saw that combo when it was posted at Zaibatsu and i though it was so badass but after i watched it 17,000 times it makes you wonder why something like that even exists in a game. Its a hard combo to do but at the same time it isn't like super hard to at least be in the right place for it to happen unlike the VF3tb Akira Instant Death Combo where you gotta be in like in the exact right area to pull it off.

It seems that this combo works only on Arena (and Underground I think) stage and it's really hard. It starts and ends with with hard Lee JF's (first three kicks and Mist Trap performed on floating oponnent). To say more, I'm pretty sure it's escapeable in at least two places via wall TRs. Forget 'bout doing it regular fight.

    1,2,3/1,2,4? Huh. Better try 2,1, 2,1, 2,1, mixed with 1,2,3 / 1,2,4 / 1,2,4~4 and WS+2 =))). And don't forget Jin's JF b,f+2>1:d+2 / b,f+2>1>2 /versus/images/icons/laugh.gif.

I've fought more than 2000 fights in PS2 TK4. It's still pretty fun game, but it's the game like the 4th Tekken should be. Problems with collision detections, a lot of bugs and glitches, priority of jabs and this stupid, unnatural ducking by only db/df... On other side, I really enjoy JF (one of the best ideas included in TK4), new Law and Yoshimitsu and new two fighters, but it's not enogh against all disadventages.

Tekken is still badass though. And Kali, I was told at Zaibatsu that you can't techroll on the walls with that combo.

I'll probably get Tekken 4 but I don't think I'll enjoy it as much as VF4 because I could probably beat the game in a day or so. Does anybody know if there will be a mode similar to Kumite?

Geez... If you treat fighting games as "1P only", maybye you should change your preferences??? I recommend RPGs...

I'm only getting it to play the Tekken Force mode which I loved since T3. Now that you add a more realistic 3d element to it, it's even more fun. So many things to do in Tekken Assault(aka Force) Mode...

    Hwoarang-- RFF, Superkick
King-- Giant swing, Irish Whip, Shoulder Bash
Kuma-- Rolling Bear (infinite version) and JF Salmon Hunting
Paul-- JF Palms and Shoulder Rams
    Kazuya-- New Flying Left Kick
Law-- New Double Bruce Lee punches (DSS, 1, f+1)
Nina-- Bad Breath (watch a whole pack of guys stagger backwards, LOL)
Yoshi-- Soul Siphon to gain energy instead of eating chickens, Teleport Bliss, Sword Fan, Sommersault Slice, etc

Basically stuff to wipe out waves of Force soldiers at a time...

Oh and I guess there's VS mode, but it's T4, so who cares, right? If I want good VS comp I'd rather play VF4.
