Bad Games Thread

Damn! My sympathies. I'm glad I never really had that problem with Aoi players. Sad thing is, WAAAAAAY back in VF4 I used to abuse some of the same moves (even though I tried to see what all her other moves would do). I guess when you play folks that know what the hell they're doing you either learn or you don't. Just sucks that you have to deal with this on more than one occasion. I know it says 'not cable pullers' but I feel the need to mention this since the other topic is closed. |WORST PLAYER| aka TheWorstPlayer who frequents these forums a lot (like 495 posts on here) has quit the match by d/c'ing himself both last night and today, once it was the final round and I was about to win. He beat me only once and of course, there was no quitting. Yet, everytime he was about to lose, he quit the match and I got the "You've been disconnected from Xbox Live" message and returned to the VS menu screen.

Normally I wouldn't say it was a big deal worth mentioning. But, considering he's an active member here, I wanted it to be known. Even with the update in place to deter it, it's still an annoying and cheapass lame thing to do.

Sorry, just needed to vent that annoyance. Figured better here than making a whole new topic about it for nothing.

I only condone pulling if someone is a ridiculous spammer, and then only in supremely rare instances. (like you fight a wolf who dm throws over and over, or a vanessa with 2 moves, and then don't hang around to see if you are going to win. Just analyze that they aren't worth the trouble of playing and back out. My opinion. Anything less than that is just a lack of integrity.)

 

A fantastic fix for Xbox live:
I know this is radical thinking, but how bout if you pull or disconnect for any reason than it counts as a win for the person you are playing. (I would even say it should count as a loss for the person dc'ing, but i know people will make, somewhat convincingly, the lag argument)
But seriously, it would still be incredibly lame thing to do to pad your rank and stats, but at least this way you are not stealing a victory and possibly a rank up from someone more deserving. For the life of me i cannot understand why they didn't set it up like this from day 1.

1st Match he ACTUALLY finished (thought there was hope for the guy). 2nd match he pulls the plug after I literally used him as a wall painting. Sorry cadorna...I can't do anything for these folks. I would think reversing what minimal offense they generate would make them try to do something new. Oh well...

Reason? Simple, win or lose - just finish the damn match. Listen, I've taken more than my share of ass-whuppings and will take a few more before I'm done with VF. You beat me several times with tactics...granted I'm not fond of but oh well. Until the guy/girl you're fighting isn't getting up anymore you don't KNOW if you could've beat him or not. Not all MY matches are won so decisively, as are others here who've had matches. Hell, more than a few matches I've won with little or no lifebar. As long as you're still up you got a shot...mainly because they guy fighting you is probably so arrogant in thinking he/she's got the match won they slip up and give you the chance you need. I ain't saying any more than that. I gotta get some sleep for work later on this morning.

Just so y'all know, I use a wireless connection most of the time I'm playing this and I'll take the heat if it decides to go crazy and kill my matches. It's happened on more than several occasions. That is all.

and I won't name any names here. Basically anyone who plays you, wins some loses some, and then turns around and gives you the excuse as to why they lost. I'm tired. I lost interest at the end, etc... Guess what, i'm tired every single day, b/c i don't sleep enough, i know it effects my play often times, but if you beat me you beat me. No excuses. No complaints. I knew i was tired when i turned the machine on. If you want to be a poor winner/loser and not say GG, fine. but don't send me a message replying to my gg saying, i'm tired, or thanx, now i gotta go to bed, or, I started trying new stuff at the end.

Um, you misread my intentions mate. You had me, I think it was round 4, except it was obvious you missed a pounce or combo or something. I was pretty dead, 3 rounds lost, game over, but hey we all mess up once in a while. So I kind of felt like it'd be cheezeball when I got you down pretty low on life in round 5. Didn't feel I really deserved the match, so I rang myself out.

Sorry about any misinterpretation mate. It was because I thought you were playing well that I didn't feel I deserved the game.

It's cool. No hard feelings. Just don't give up a match, yo. You did real good. I'm not fond of hit-and-run but hey, that's my damn fault for not being able to find a way to deal with it. The fact that I fought a whole bunch of Lion(s) who used them worse didn't help my mental state any. My philosophy: I'm still breathing, I still got a shot. Trust me, if feels real good when you make an unbelievable comeback. Tell next time.

 

I agree with Panther... If you're down on health often times you just need like one big combo to even it out. If I had a nickel for everytime I pulled off a crazy comeback... well I wouldn't be rich, but I would have a shit-load of nickels!!
