Wow, Bad Games is heating up. There's like three pages of posts in the last couple days.

Rank matches should definitely be taken as serious as possible, but without it getting violent. I'm not saying anyone is wrong for saying what they're saying, after all it's not my fight so it's none of my business. My philosophy is take it to the ring.

If anyone is unfamiliar with the Japanese word "Kuyashi" it really explains the feeling of wanting to play again after you lose. You know, that urge to hit your "A" button as fast as possible to try to find the person again and win this time. I live for that. Kuyashi is kind of like "going on tilt" but without the negative connotation. I believe kuyashi is a good thing and can make you better. To me it represents extreme determination to get the job done.

how do u say "too much lag" in japanese? Sometimes japanese players will join my match game after game and i don't wanna be a jerk, but's its like were playing a turn-based fighting game.

 

If you just send them a message saying "lag" they will understand. I'm surprised that they even join laggy sessions. Japanese aren't known for doing that.

I didn't mean to put your name in here like you gave me BGs, you did not. Even when I get frustrated with Lei's online shenanigans, I don't think BGs just bc of Lei's amazing low risk/huge payoff abilities.
I just pointed out something that you do that I found a little annoying since you were pointing out something annoying about somebody else and I thought "maybe nobody has told him this".
If you could've heard my voice when I said this, you could've heard in my voice that there wasn't any animosity there.
I like playing you, that's why you're on my friend's list. If I found you boring to play or really, truly annoying to play, I wouldn't have you on my friends list and I wouldn't play you.
It's that simple for me.
If you ever catch me calling you "boring" and telling you that I could beat you with just "elbows" on the headset and I sounded not-happy, right after I got a slight edge in player matches...
please, delete me as a friend. I would never say that to you because a)I don't feel it and b)if I felt it, I wouldn't play you. Even if I felt that after I played you, I would have more tact than to say it like that, lol.

Personally, you could play me all day and would rarely see DMPK or 2p from me. IMO there's too much risk involed, I'd rather Yoho and defend, as opposed to DMPK and defend. I dont mind when people 2p all the time because it gives me a chance to take half life or more. These styles are annoying but nothing is as bad as some fucked up lag, I hate guarding or dodging when im + frames. Its giving me stupid habits. I really hit home yesterday when I was playing Johoseph. He's one of the most disciplened players on XBL and out of habit after I landed 2 hits I dodged. I thought WTF is that. I need more quest mode.

I think Gentleman thief got angry at me once for spamming dmpk /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif and yes, i was spamming the hell out of it at the end of a player match. so he started hitting me with only 2 moves and beating me, and i got angry at him.
In the end: I don't care, and he doesn't care, and i look forward to playing him more. we've had many good (him beating me up more) player sessions since then. GGs to you gentleman theif.

Its part of the game, plus i've been told i sweep more than he does...but i doubt it. lol, Tsua, i want to play this new brad tat has incited 30 new bad games posts since last i logged in. You'll get no complaints from me (err, probably a couple) but on the other hand, if i find it too tough to deal with, i'll probably start doing it back to you....thats how i handle unico. Either way, i want to see what all the buzz is about.

Bad Games to: The South Hampton Inn Suites in Anchorage Alaska. I went against what i am comfortable doing, and actually packed up the XBOX 360 and brought on my work trip with me!!! I just couldn't be away from VF for 2 wks. But this ghetto hotel doesn't have TVs capable of hooking up my system to, and the TV in my room is super fuzzy, i wouldn't want to play VF on it anyways. But shit, now i just got my xbox chilling in my luggage waiting to run the risk of getting damaged or lost again on the return trip. TOTALLY BOGUS.

p.s. In case i didn't make it clear enough in the above post, I'm not hating on your game at all social, you are getting better all the time. Mastering the tick throws IS DEFINITELY part of that evolution. Keep doing what you are doing. Thats only a part of the style of yours that is leading to your continual improvement, there are alot of other little tricks that are causing fits for folks. One note tho, i do think you are using 2p to stop opponents offense too much. i watched you play, and its working very well for you, continue to do it as it works, but be aware of who it doesn't work against, and make sure you have a good solid defense outside of that. many 10th dans and masters, and beyond will quickly address that and make it a weakness of yours.

I'm not trying to play devil's advocate here or anything, i hate Tsua's playstyle as much as the next guy. But he does have a point - if it nets him wins why stop doing it? Even after playing 20-30 player matches in a row against him our matches are still close. He does adapt - he just does it with his timing, not with extra moves. He might block where in the previous match he would attack. I'd go for a evade p+k, to "get back at him" he'd block it and punish me. Or he would stop evade p+k and block low, i would sweep thinking he'd evade p+k, find my sweep blocked and eat his jacky's elbow-kick. So, once again, i do hate that kind of playstyle, after playing him i feel like my mediocre Vf skills have degenerated even more, but hey, he doesn't pull, he gives rematches, he's an opportunity to practice my anti-dm p+k reflexes (you'll be sorry if you face somebody like that in a tourney without prior practice), he's even adapts, making him certainly better than the stupid AI, so i for one am happy to play him whenever i have the chance. smb you numpty, the 66kk is to nail that weird autodelayed circular sweep you use. You use it a lot at very strange times and if I expect it i'll do 66kk. 66kk also is safe against those reversals of Lei's that I have no clue about and when you're changing stances.

I barely use that move outside of combos but it's very good against you Leis. You should have saved those matches to see why I was using 66kk.

EDIT: Let me just go over this again to make sure you understand... There was 2 situations in our matches where I was using 66kk, when you do the weird autodelayed low sweep cause 66kk beats it & I was also doing it when you was switching your stances, cause normally if i attack with anything else i'll eat some kind of reversal... So if i was using 66kk a lot ( which I was ) then that was your fault for relying on that ghey sweep and the reversals so much... It's not like it was my answer to everything ( like tsua's dm p+k skillz ).

just block the sweep and punish. and i am not sure but shouldn't 46p+k stop most of his reversals? Or if you have the time to get off 66kk, shouldn't 246+p work better?? I dunno I haven't played Akira in months.

 

That one sweep that smb uses a lot seems to take like 40 frames to hit, i could probably smack him out of it with anything. Not sure about his reversals too well either that's why I do 66kk, you're right though 214p and 46p+k would be better and safer. 66kk is hella punishable if it's blocked or misses, lucky that didn't happen vs smb /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

I have no idea what numpty means. I know why you were using the 66kk so much, and really it doesn't matter one way or the other, it didn't bother me in the least. i was just messign around to stir up controversy. I was just coasting along in autopilot that night after getting booted and losing all my ranking bar (had no inspiration going from 3/4 back to default 1/3) and that slaggy kick (66kk) was working so by all means keep using it. the main point was, nobody should expect thier opponent to stop doing something if its working. As seven5's sig says, its only spamming if it doesn't work, otherwise its yomi. Thus you whoring out 66kk the other night wasn't spam, but good play to take advantage of me mindlessly running through flow charts instead of really playing.

 

Bad games to AbruptAddyPaddy for pulling twice today. Both times were in the third round as I was about to demote the pussy back to 5th Dan, he stopped moving and then a few seconds later I got the disconnect message. I checked his gamercard both times and it said he was offline. He stopped hosting after that.
