Bad Games Thread

On a tangent, it's funny how repeated use of low punch or evade attack gets one named a "spammer" whereas repeated use of elbow gets one named "moral" /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/crazy.gif

 

dmpk will get u but so, far its funny that i c a few people on this thread who use it but wont say they do, /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif haha i also c more than a few cock punchers on here. but its all love thats just there style who r we 2 judge /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smirk.gif ..huh more than a few of u talk frames this and frames that and then cock punch and dmpk all day huh sweet /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cry.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

 

heh, I'm guilty of spamming the old 2p's...more than I really care to admit myself -_- Hell, I spam about two or three strings but that's only because Aoi's DMPK absolutly SUCKS /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/mad.gif

 

It's not "overpowered" but it's like Happy Friend said: it takes a lot away from the core game of VF: nitaku.
Offline DMP+K wouldn't clash as often with a throw so you would get thrown all day trying to DMP+K when in close range.
But online it clashes and sometimes you'll just get smacked for trying to throw somebody out of DMP+K.
Right after gettting DMP+K blocked if your opponent goes to throw you and you go for yet ANOTHER DMP+K, you will get thrown. Of course, this is offline.
But online *sigh* I've seen the throw clash and I've even seen the second DMP+K hit /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/shocked.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/mad.gif
I can't take it man. I'm a pretty nice guy and all but I got my limit of how much bullshit I can take and THAT'S where I draw the line. If I can't get my throw or my guaranteed PK after a FULL CIRCULAR, MID-HITTING MOVE THAT EVADES LINEAR AND HALF-CIRCULAR ATTACKS... well, that's it for me. I'm outta here. I'll go play somebody who doesn't abuse the lag with DMP+K.

Honestly, my main problem with DMPK is online. And more specifically, Wolf's. He ducks, sidesteps, backdashes, and then forward dashes with a catch throw! In normal circumstances, I'd throw out a full circular, but most of those are high, and he goes under them. Low circ's don't have the distance (with some exceptions), and if you manage to duck the throw, they can just DMPK again before anything of yours hits!

But again, its an online thing. If it were offline, i'd escape that dumb throw every time. Online I have to imput f+p+g before wolf has even begun his sidestep. NONSENSE!

I dunno Tony...I thought you were already over with this fussing about DM P+K. Great players like JHow and Denkai are able to punish me everytime I whiff or get my DM P+K blocked so I know it's not broken...heck when you tried to use it against me, I was able to punish you. Either you ain't reacting fast enough or well..I dunno man. True online can give it some advantageous properties but that can be said for just about any other move. Sometimes you just gotta learn not to retaliate after you get hit or throw out a quick jab or attack that recovers fast to fool your opponent to go for a DM P+K and then quickly block and punish...either that or you need to throw out a full circular and take some more risks. Take note of when your opponent usually goes for a DM P+K and punish.

 

All I'm hearing is:

"Why block when you can ATTACK!?"

DMPK doesn't really bother me much. The only time it bugs me is if they use it instantly when they lose advantage.

E.G

I CH them or evade a move and BAM! DMPK.

I've only had someone do that to me once and it got annoying. Our connection was stable enough that I could spank him for it though.

 

I think part of the problem we have with this is it is annoying. I am as guilty as anyone of it though--being annoyed at someone beating me with dmpk or 2p or whatever. But honestly, we can't choose how people beat us. But i there was one akira player who used dmpk about 8 times around and was high ranked. i still won, but it certainly made it closer than it should have been. Also robot J a wolf user does dmpk about 3-6 times a round. I beat him, and he joined again and used it a solid 6 times a round. Then he pulled right as i was finishing him off. what a bitch.
