I personally think the graphic on Xbox360 demo is better than PS3.
Anyway it's a good act game!!!

 

I just played the demo and the game is great, may just be better than dmc3 (which is currently the best action game mechanics/gameplay wise).
the guns on feet are great, they let you stop ANY combo into gun shooting with that limb(which does good damage, and unlike MOST charge type attacks are actually useful, and it looks REALLY cook when she flips around firing bullets everywhere for a NORMAL combo).
and secondly the extreme sillyness (guns on feet, flowers hearts and lips everywhere, names for the enemies) is SUPPOSED to be silly, and FUNNY.
if u take any of that seriously i think you missed out on alot. The sillyness is pretty enjoyable, its better than an bland-story, i rather have some crazy shit to go "WTF LOL" over than "ok.." over like in other action games like god of war or ninja gaiden which are just BORING story wise. Atleast with this game you won't know what to expect and will get some fun outta seeing what silly thing they do next.

the going naked for super attacks is interesting, and PROBABLY ment to sell, but i also think it was just the directors wish to do it more than that, which makes it cool in a funky way. I find it weird but not tactless.

 

How did you gather so much of an opinion on the characters and story from the demo? The demo only shows you one character and none of the story

Also, I can't blame the development team for wanting the game to sell, especially with how they've done in the past.

 

This game is going to be everything Devil May Cry(Dennis)4 should have been and more....can't wait

 

The game is now, Dec 14, officially out here in Germany (oddly enough the release has been brought forward here at last minute). Getting it tomorrow. Can't wait to thrust with Bayonetta's katana through dozens of enemies. (I kind of favor the katana over her pistols.) Have never been into DMC-like gameplay but the devs, Platinum Games, simply manage to establish a flow in the game that is pure universal fun even to those not overly acquainted with hack-n'-slash orgies - Bayonetta's "nekked"-ness is helping a lot of course...

 

Yeah I finally got around to playing the Demo on Saturday... HOPE FUCKING SHIT! The battle system rivals DMC in my opinion. Great game... I'm sure it will sell millions.

And I don't care what people say... the graphics are DEFINITELY better on the Xbox360 than the PS3. If someone thinks other wise they are serious a Sony fan boy in denial. Stop taking hits from that Sony pipe homie.

Damn Leonard... the game comes out today for you guys your lucky! I think it's January 5th for USA. I still haven't decided if I will buy it. Sorry but my bitterness todays Sega is really HUGE right now.

Meh who am I kidding... I know I'll most likely buy it despite my gripe with Sega. It's a really, really, really fun game.

I'm with you on that train as I'm dizzing practically every game that comes out under the flag of SEGA. (Even Virtua Fighter is no exception there.)

Laughing at the first footage of the game, and the quite "hairy" character of the protagonist, I could only agree with Itagaki's hate against the game and its non-creativeness in that PlatinumGames really couldn't produce anything but DMC clones. Here is what Itagaki had to say after test-playing Bayonetta (in an interview with 1UP):

But the thing has been so well pulled off that I even bought into the Japanese-style pop battle music when I was first hearing it. And 60 frames per second gameplay has never felt so fluent before in my life... (sorry VF)

The game's ultimately so absurd but yet enjoyable that it will be hard to really eschew it in the long run.

 

Dude, people have known for months that the 360 version is far superior to the PS3 version. Platinum didn't even handle the PS3 port.

To be fair, Platinum Games represents something actually good about Sega.

Yes, PAL is PAL. I often do quite the opposite: ordering the UK version to play the game uncut.

I heard it's not edited or censored in any way, not 100% sure though.

From what the press has said, it shouldn't be censored or cut or so. (Game arriving tomorrow here. Argh, damn mail!)

 

I hate itagaki hes such a cocky little douche. He never gives credit to other action games and thinks DOA is a masterpiece. And honestly NinjaGaiden2 was shallow garbage. All they did was put a million more enemies on screen and gave you an invincible-while-doing move that you had to spam cause there were so many enemies on screen (along with ultimate attacks) and he thinks hes superior. Terrible game IMO. NG1 was good, but DMC3 is still so much better and itagaki needs to get his right hand off his c**k and get over himself already.

and do people REALLY think the maker of okami, devil may cry and resident evil 2 can only make one type of game? seriously?

 

Looks crazy to me as well! Shame that Afterburner move wasn't in the demo, looks great for juggling enemies in the air.
