Bayonetta

Well I have only put 3 hours into the game and I have to say for about 1.5 to 2 hours of it I was becoming highly annoyed with all these fucking Matrix wannabe scenes. Just fucking get to the game already man. We know she is sexy, we know she is a bad ass, but fucking a Christ all this Matrix stop motion blurring effect was getting old really fast. Especially the motorcyle scene in Act 2. Honestly I have no idea what went on there. I just understood that she swiped her gem and stopped to talk lol

When you are playing and fighting though the game is totally fun. I'm sure once I get some good combos memorized and I know how to optimize damage better I'll have a total blast with this game.

Honestly it's not living up to the impact DMC had on me when I first played that game. Maybe Itagaki was right about this game. Well I'll wait till I beat the game before I say anything further.

 

DMC blew me away when I first played it. Ninja Gaiden on the xbox done the same. Onimusha was awesome as well.

God of War did not however. Probably because I played it after my triumph over Dante must Die mode and Master Ninja Difficulty.

I have my doubts about Bayonetta.

 

Bayonetta I going to have to pass. The demo was cool, not that big on DMC style games.

i got the german PAL 360 version since saturday and luv it 2 death!! awesome gameplay, wonderful soundtrack, beautiful grafix & alot of sega/am2 gags incl. akira yuki's "juunen hayaindayo!" ^_^ i already cleared all difficulties (GS 880/1000) and can't wait for DLC/Bayonetta II etc.

yeah I fell into some serious laughter when I saw Akira's tetsuzanko move... love how they go flying. I have yet to see / hear the juunen hayaidayo bit yet though.

Like I said while it's not having that DMC impact on me the game is still fun to play. I gotta ask though what's with game developers always sticking these damn Shenmue type QTE's in the most random of places. sheeesh you are greeted with a cool cut scene and you are all into it and it's going for like 3 minutes straight... then at the very end of it they throw a random "HEY HIT THE FUCKING X BUTTON OR YOU FAIL" event in there and if you miss it's game over WTF?????????

Oh great now I have to fight for 20 minutes again and watch this 5 minute cut scene again just to hit the X button?????? All of that could have been avoided if the controller vibrated or something to kind of give a hint like " hey get ready something is going to happen! "

 

I have just played through Chapter III where I happened to enter the Paradiso Garden. I can only state: WTF, AWESOMEST!

 

Yeah no doubt the visuals in this game is just breath taking. When I first got to Paradiso all I could do was stand there for like 3 minutes while I used the camera to look around. Absolutely amazing.

On another note... Bayonetta killed my TV I'm kidding it's wasn't Bayonetta, but looks like my Bravia might be done for and it's only 1.5 years old.

Keep in mind that these lines you see filled up the whole screen from wall to wall and were very vibrant in color... mostly yellow, but there was some red lines and a few other various colors. I took this picture about 6 hours later from when the problem first occurred. Anyone familiar with this? Am I done for or can this be fixed?

thats a review for the game from a Devil May Cry veteran. Basically he ranks it up as good as DMC3.
The story/bayonetta herself are apparently annoying but the gameplay is amazing!!

i was thinking of maybe picking this game up.. however i heard the game is very very short... Does this game have alot of replay value?? or online modes?

 

where did you hear its very short? I read its got ton of replay value, new weapons and stuff?
