Taito Type X2 games work as a Windows .exe actually. A lot of them got leaked a while back.

I appreciate the support. I just posted the petition in the Official SEGA boards as well.

Well, you guys probably heard the news, but SEGA had restructured its US and EU branches, and they will focus on digital releases. Hopefully that means more Console to PC ports.

I really like the idea of VF5:FS on PC with custom private servers. It would ensure online play indefinitely.

And not have it end up like this

By the time something like that would happen there would be a new VF with online play out, but I still hate that we're dependent on a companies servers with console online play.

There are private servers out for PSO on the DC, but I don't know if something like that would be achieved for VF on consoles.

Sega are notoriously lacking in ambition. they don't care since they are owned by a pachinko company. If they did we should have had a console vf game since 2009 (The fighting game revival).

Don't say that, they've been actually the most daring publisher this gen with their new IP focus, and their recent focus on digital titles gives bigger hope of seeing VF5:FS on STEAM.

Their Steam support is also very good!

Binary Domain getting a PC port at least appeared to be in some way a response to demand so you never know it could happen if enough interest is shown.

I agree Rikitatsu Sega's steam support is pretty good, and unlike too many other Japanese companies like Capcom they don't force the use of the awful Games for windows live.

They may think about it if the console version meets expectations. But the current state of SEGA is going through a massive restructuring this summer. So who knows....

I heard the game is doing well on PSN/XBL, hopefully SEGA consider making a STEAM version.

I did what I could.

 

Need to revive this thread and petition asap. SG and KOF got some, VF needs some of that steam love too. One less reason to turn on the on my console as well bringing together both the ps and xbox crowd would help too.
