Am I gonna get blamed every time now if someone doesn't like a game??? That doesn't seem too fair... [IMG]

Plus, what I originally said was, "I agree that the game is very fun... " <--- so you're taking it out of context as if I'm the only person in the world the likes Blaz Blue. Cut me some slack.

I thought I gave some pretty good details about the game and what I felt was cool about it. I didn't just say, I like Blaz Blue and leave it at that.

If you don't want to get/play the game that's fine with me... It's no skin off my back.

Nah not trying to rag on your Gernburgs, it's just what is someone supposed to believe if you're saying every fighter that comes out is good.

any time you're in the last 25% or so of your health bar it's generally a good idea to use your burst.

there are some advantages to bursting early though; your opponent's meter gain slows down and i believe you're either immune to negative penalty or it takes a lot more time to reach it (not sure of this yet but i'll come back and update you guys). so if you play a character like nu/arakune it might be in your best interest to burst relatively early, since your defense sucks and if you play your cards right on offense you won't be getting hit again anyways.

but if you're playing a rushdown/punish character it's probably never a good idea to burst early, seeing as you're much more likely to get hit by a counter assault/2A/whatever than the zoning characters are.

Ok so... Getting out of V-13's full screen pressure is not very easy. The way she can just pin you in the corner and attack with overheads AND the low spinning blade. If you sit back there too long and can't get out you will lose period. Plus, one of her drive blade follow-ups even crumples you, which really sucks if you get hit cause you're stuck back there for another cycle of drive blade pressure... The best way I've found to get out of it is an Instant Air Dash but any advice would be awesome.

I use Rachel exclusively right now and think she is a really cool character. I love her combos and her unorthodox drive move; the wind has so many different uses I think it rules. It's complicated, but still very fun to mess around with. I definitely need to perfect the "Electric Chair" into downward wind combo and I will crush Noels left and right.

Arakune and V-13 are, without a doubt, the toughest characters for me to beat though. They are some evil little bastards for sure. They both have really nasty corner traps which seem to make me lose a lot of rounds or, at least, get far behind before I can escape the trap. I gotta work on that.

    @quash- who is your main???

Wow, I'm really having fun with this game so far, and I usually hate 2D fighters. Well, Capcom 2D fighters at least...

Anyway, haven't done much playing online yet, since I'm still pretty noobish, but from what I've seen so far the reports of online often being nearly lagless are pretty accurate. All in all, this game seems like a pretty fun diversion, although I'll admit it's still no VF.

nu's pressure is good yes, but you just named her entire mid to full screen mixup with the overhead sword and the low sword. they're not that hard to block, honestly, seeing as both of them take forever to hit you.

my advice is to instant block her blockstrings (since it gives you meter) and from there do what you can to beat that bitch. if you're playing rachel i'd probably back off and get some rods out there, then when she wants to get close to you get ready to break/beat her throw and then rush down.

As a nu player myself I focus more on her mid to close range game only using her long ranged game alot when I see it work very well. She has quite a few good set ups and moves upclose too if the other person can get past her ranged game .

My rushdown character is Ragna and his ranged melee game is sick. I was alway getting counters on nu with his QCB A and QCB B specials and punished nu on counter hits. As it was mentioned earlier she leaves herself open to a lot of counters if you can reach her quickly as she summons something. Rachael's set ups with her rods and frog from a far always give me fits at any distance.

How about some tips against Arakune he is so sneaky and evasive he gets on my last nerve.

Ok- the true godly setup from the Fork and Knife counter hit is the 6C (the one where she spins around like a helicopter and you use the wind to blow Rachel into the opponent for ~10+ hits)...

If I hit you with the Fork on a counter and you don't Barrier Burst I will take off half your life. I can combo 6C+D (with the wind) into j.C-> B twice and then crumple you with C+D->C in the corner and go for the frog or just a B cannon shot...

That is THE combo period. It's murderous! Slightly difficult but still just a murderous combo. I was playing a Hakumen last night that had me down to roughly 1 pixel of life in the 3rd round. He had used his Burst early so he was taking a lot of damage. I hit him with a CH Fork and proceeded to combo him for almost 75% of his life bar FTW! It was just awesome!

He certainly would have won if he had not Bursted because the combo wouldn't have killed him normally. But after the Burst your life just melts away, so I got a sweet win.

Has anyone figured out how the "True Skill" ranking works? Gent Thief, Cozby and Shirt --> you guys "True Skill" ranking is pretty damn high... Kudos to you guys! [IMG]

I'm playing through the story and I found it funny that Bang once had a dog named "Kagemaru". I don't know how common of a ninja name Kage Maru is but I thought it was funny that his name popped up.

There is a dog called Tobimaru in this movie:

I think the suffix ---maru is kinda old fashioned, nothing to do with dogs though AFAIK.
