BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger

honestly, at this point the only thing that would keep me from playing blazblue is vf5r.

Yo you better become a fan son! The BlazBlue gauntlet is totally getting thrown down at Rodney's this month. At least when most of the VF players fall asleep or something

 

I'm right there with GentlemanThief. As a fighting game fan, I try to play them all. VF is by far my favorite, but this game is fun and plays smooth even against my Japanese superiors.

Just started playing today, any of you install the game to your hard-drive?

 

I did, but I do that with all games that keep...not many. So, I did it first thing after the update installed.

If you're in Canada and you want this game, you're boned til the 29th apparently.

 

If you're in Europe and want this game on the 360, you're boned full stop until someone announces that they're bringing it over here as well.

Yeah I agree with that, and I think for some games (depending on what your used to) it takes longer to adjust. It took me a long time to adapt to VF but I always saw the potential in it and persisted. I'll be trying this out soon and am keen on all the new fighters coming out. I need to find a fighter that I like that's better supported outside Japan and has more players than VF . SF4 doesn't seem to be that game so I'm still looking.

 

Not really. Aksys take their fighting games seriously. Their flagship fighters are no joke. This game has numerous ways to defend yourself against your opponent. Three ways of tech rolling. Damage scaling, no chip damage while your opponent is low on health. I could go, on and on, about Blazblue. GT said it, if your a fan of fighters, you have to give Blazblue a chance.

Man this game is not out in europe and all the vids I saw are full of epilepsy-inducing flashes and 10+ combos.

I feel this is not the game for me, but Im willing to give it a chance....if I dont get something else instead.
